Acne Treatment
Acne is NOT caused by dirt so over scrubbing acne not only does not help but it can make it worse by over drying the skin and triggering a “supply and demand” response to “send more oil”. Acne is typically seen in Adolescent Teen -Boys and Girls alike but can also be present in Adults, considered Adult Acne.Causes range mostly from a rise of male hormone androgen (present in males and females) stimulated in sebaceous glands, to stress, medications, diet (sugar), and using the wrong products. Acne can be debilitating to some and we are here to help you and guide you to clearer more beautiful skin.
Apex™ IPL Laser
Treats: atrophic acne scars, photo-damaged skin lesions, mild to moderate facial wrinkles, uneven pigment, and seborrheic keratosis. The Apex captures and refines broadband light by utilizing filters to purify the energy output for targeting specific chromophores. Non-ablative and gentle by nature, the light from the Apex will penetrate the outer layers of skin to be absorbed by the target cell; therefore causing injury to that specific cell. Microdermabrasion – Westborough
Microdermabrasion is a treatment which uses a minimally invasive procedure to gently sand your skin that helps to remove the thicker and uneven outer layer of your skin. This is a less aggressive technique than dermabrasion and after the treatment, your skin will look brighter and softer. When the top layer of your skin is removed, your body will interpret it as an injury. During the therapy, the cells of the lost skin will quickly renew with healthy ones and the entire procedure takes only 30 minutes on the face. The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface which has fine crystals or a diamond tip, and gently sand away the loose skin cells from your skin to rejuvenate it.
