Critical: Professionalism, QualityOur late afternoon seeking a relaxing pedicure were certainly shattered this evening. I had made an appointment at Deptford Nails for 2 gel pedicures for 5 pm. . Upon arriving at 5 were were greeted kindly by whom I believe may be the shop Manager . ( We have visited this establishment many times over the past few years ) we were asked to select our nail color and go to stations 3 and 4 . One reaching the foot sinks , an older woman working there approached me aggressively and repeated for me to sit, sit, sit . Seeing her aggressiveness I was concerned that she would be completing the pedicure on my daughter and not me . My daughter motioned it was ok and I sat this woman aggressively and repeatedly asked , did my daughter make her color selection.my daughter decided and was told to sit . She snatched the color wheel for her and huffed as my daughter took off her shoes . Our feet were barley in the water, It was obvious that this older woman was rushing us . She hurried in the pedicure tasks , filing aggressively cleaning , cutting , and all with what seemed to be aggression. She actually looked mad while performing this service . She suggested an overlay for a broken toe nail . My daughter asked if she could glue instead , fearing the overlay would be very thick and the woman insisted for the overlay . My daughter repeatedly asked for the overlay to be thinned out but the requests as met on deaf ears. All along the older woman was talking, talking, talking all in another language in what was obviously words about my daughter. And her body language was showing the words were not complementary . My daughters toe nails were filed crooked , when asked to refile them the woman talked in another language repeating over and over and proceeded to tell my daughter her toes were crooked.As the polish was being applied , the polish was all over the sides of her toe nails and most sloppily all over her cuticles . When my daughter tried to point this messy application out , the woman continued to talk , talk , talk and swatted my daughters hand as she was pointing out the messy polish, and aggressively slamming my daughters feet around as well as slamming the gel nail dryer repeatedly. She removed the toe separators with such force she hurt my daughters toe. As this aggression continued , I asked to speak with the manager to resolve this messy job . Another girl came over and attempted to help while all along the older woman was speaking loudly , hands were flailing and stood across the room GLARING at us over her glasses. I spoke up and stated ” you should not be standing there glaring at us . She continued to stare us down and continue the chatter. The manager was trying to resolve the problem while the older lady continued to glare at us with such anger . I I imagine she must have been the managers Mother as the manager was reluctant to tell her to be quiet.the chatter from the older woman continued and she approached us chattering again , swinging her hands in the air quite aggressively . We were Not certain what she might do next. Again no one in the shop took any measures to get this older woman under control. We were going to ask for someone else to straighten the crooked toe nail and file down the thick overlay but with all the non stop chatter coming from the older woman and some smart mouth customer chattering as well we decided to attempt to leave the salon with horribly painted nails.Services: Pedicure, Gel manicuresOur late afternoon seeking a relaxing pedicure were certainly shattered this evening.
