VIP Nail Spa

Critical: ProfessionalismI have been going to this nail salon since September of last year because of the convenience of it being close by, but this last experience was the final straw. I will not be returning. They are good about taking walk-ins, but that doesn’t excuse unprofessionalism. I was passed around to 3 different people for a manicure. First the manager started to take off the dip I had gotten previously and then when one of the girls finished I had to move to her table. She continued to take off the dip and then told me she would be right back before she left for 20 minutes with my nails soaking in acetone. The manager did notice and once again I had to move to a third person. While they were taking off the dip and using their tools to get the excess off, I could feel my cuticles burning. Sure enough every single one of my cuticles is cut at least once. My thumb is the worse, they took off a huge chunk of skin. 5 days later and the cut on my thumb is no better. On top of all that, the top coat of the dip manicure is already coming off and I have not done anything remotely rough with my nails to cause it to come off. I have been going to this nail salon since September of last year because of the convenience of it being close by, but this last experience was the final straw. I will not be returning. They are good about taking walk-ins, but that doesn’t excuse unprofessionalism. I was passed around to 3 different people for a manicure. Don’t get me wrong, I loved going to this nail place because they never failed me but for some reason this time was different . I came in around closing time to just get my feet done and planned on coming back the next day to get my nails done. They insisted on having time to do both so I trusted what they told me and let them do my nails too . Sooo many things went wrong for this visit, like I had to pay up front before my nails were even started , and the lady rushed the entire time and broke my real nail and it started bleeding from moving to fast. Maybe I should’ve gotten up and left when this happened but I didn’t ! I called the place the next morning letting them know I wanted them to redo my nails and to go to the lady I normally go to . They told me to come back and they would fix it . But when I got there they wanted me to pay for a whole new set and to soak off of these ones . I personally hate being that difficult costumer but they made me get there and I live far from this place and come this far because it WAS normally worth it . She said nothing was wrong with my nails and that it looked just like the picture. Don’t get me wrong they might look good on someone else’s hands but not on mine. The man up front was really rude and hung up the phone on me when I called them back to tell them I wasn’t going to wait and was leaving. Don’t get me wrong, I loved going to this nail place because they never failed me but for some reason this time was different . I came in around closing time to just get my feet done and planned on coming back the next day to get my nails done. Positive: ProfessionalismBeen coming to VIP NAILS over a year now. Lissa, never fails me when I walk thru the door. Any picture I show her how I want my nails. She always conquer it. The greeting from the other staff make you feel so at home.
