Probably a nice place? I wouldn’t know since the lone woman in the place told us, from the far back as she worked on a client, that she was booked through September. It’s August now. This maybe an owner-operator sort of small place. It wouldn’t surprise me if she lived above the salon. Maybe she does a great job – maybe she just owns the only salon on the island. I’ll never know which is keeping her in business!

Did my daughter’s hair for her wedding. Did a trial run the day before and then again on wedding morning. Also applied air sprayed make-up. I can’t remember what that was called. She looked fantastic! Will post pics later when photographer has them ready. She also braided the Mother of the Groom’s hair and curled my hair (Mother of the Bride). Very skilled coamotologist and hair artist! We fell in love with her greeter at the door too!

I went yesterday to get a haircut and this lady with short platinum hair in her mid 50’s (she’s short and kinda chubby, no offense I just never asked her name) cut my hair, she took literally 10 min to do so, she left my neck al itchy with the razor she used.

I used Vintage Glam Salon a few weeks ago for my wedding and wedding party, and Christy did a wonderful job! The hair and makeup were superb, and it was such a fun morning getting ready with the ladies. Everything lasted all day long and I felt like I had never looked better. Shannon did my hair for my wedding 1 week ago and she did an amazing job! She made the whole experience completely stress free. My hair is extremely thin so I was very worried about my curls falling out beforehand (this happens often). She recommended making my curls extremely tight before hand and had just the products and it worked great! My hair was exactly how I wanted it for the ceremony and held all night. It was even curly still when I woke up! Not to mention she made my hair exactly like the pictures I showed her. We had great conversation. She also did everything in a timely manner so I was not rushed after. Thanks again! I would highly recommend this place!

Critical: ProfessionalismI feel that writing a negative review about a business is never fun but I think important so that others can make an informed decision.This is one that I posted about Vintage Glam on Mackinac Island. Sad but true.NOT honest! Unprofessional and disrespectful! Owes me $200 from a $700 deposit and has refused to pay me. My daughter got married last month on Mackinac Island. My daughter and her husband live on the island. I was told by Christi via phone that she would not be charging for my daughter because she was a resident.When My hair and makeup were done on the day of the wedding Christi said she would figure out what the charge was and send me a check. I believe it was the following week when I got an email saying my bill was $740 but I didn’t need to worry about the $40. I am not kidding. My daughter didn’t even get her makeup done by Christi!!!!! Not excluding the fact she wasn’t charging for my daughter.I have sent Christi 3 emails and she will not respond. I didn’t want to post this review but I told her I would if she didn’t respond and send me the $200. I just want what is rightfully mine.I would never recommend Vintage Glam.
