Absolutely terrible experience. I’ve been here few times and it’s been good, but I came because of a promotion, and had the worst manicure to date. First time I have been incredibly displeased in a nail salon and raised an issue. Before getting them done, the tech kept pressuring me to do gel and I said no and she kept pushing. Eventually she painted them and then the first set of photos are the results. I raised the issue and they had another tech try to clean them up, but she ended up taking it all off. She used a drill to remove color and it ended up cutting the sides of some of my fingers and making them bleed. She also told me my nails were too short and that’s why the paint looked bad. Anyways second set of photos are re-do and they charged me FULL price. Will not return and will be sharing with friends.

My daughter and I went for pedicures when we were there for parents weekend. Both of our pedicures were rough and rushed. Hers were bleeding and her one toe got so infected she had to go to the dr this week and get put on oral antibiotics. We upgraded to a nicer pedicure. They were done in 18 min. They weren’t busy. We would not go back. My daughter has been in pain and hurts to walk to classes etc.

I haven’t felt the need to leave a review for any Nail salon in Tuscaloosa….until my experience TODAY. Nothing but a wonderful experience. From the receptionist being courteous and helpful, to being offered an array of beverages, to the vibe of the salon. And my actual experience with my pedicure and manicure, I am speechless. I treated myself to the Royal pedicure. One word…Excellent. Then, I treated myself to the Deluxe manicure. My technician did a neck message while my hands were in the warm towels. It was something I didn’t know I needed. This was my second time visiting them. I will be back!

I have never left a review before, but there was no way I couldn’t. This place scammed me so bad that even the girl on register told me she knew I was getting charged for things I didn’t ask for or get. So ridiculous. I went in asking for a regular pedicure and a fill in. When I was getting my pedicure, he assured me it was regular, not gel. Then, when I went to get my fill in on my nails, they told me I couldn’t keep the tips on that I already had? At this point I was annoyed and was fine with just a regular gel manicure since apparently I had to take my tips off. I went to pay and they told me it was $30 more than it should have been. When I questioned the price the woman at the register told me she wasn’t sure why it was so much, then who I assume was the owner told her I got a gel pedicure(which I didn’t ask for and was assured I wasn’t getting!) and an extra fee to take off my acrylics that they told me I had no choice but to take off! Absolutely ridiculous, I apologized to the woman at the register because I knew it wasn’t her fault it just wasn’t what I asked for, and she told me she knew I didn’t ask for it, basically telling me that she knew they were scamming me!

I normally love village nail bar mainly for their 10% off for students and I normally get a great outcome but today my friend and I went to get dip and fill in and the lady that did my dip burned me with the drill at least four times and did not even acknowledge my pain. My friend got the worst gel paint job I have ever seen. Maybe the mid afternoon workers are just not the same as the night shift but still. This was not a good experience.

However we did this on Monday evening and by Wednesday morning(not even 48 hours) our nails started to crack and chip. Our real nails stated braking because of this. I went back and was told no refunds and I’d have to wait as a walk in and not allowed to make an appointment. Until the next day. I realize that this is their policy on sundays but I wouldn’t have had to be there if it wasn’t for their poor workmanship. Plus I didn’t want to let them mess up my nails again. It says they provide drinks I was never even offered water. It was just an all around bad experience and a costly one as I was paying for 2 of us.
