I have used this hair salon off and on since 1987. I have moved multiple times and the distance is what keeps me from going on a regular basis. However, I love going there and the employees are friendly, their services are varied, and the cost is always fair and affordable. At times, I am enjoying my visit so much I have stayed longer and chatted with the group.

I really wanted to love this shop. It is a very cozy place, with a respectful and friendly staff. I gave it 3 stars based on that statement. My hair color and cut however was subprime. I opted for a deep, dark red on my VERY THICK, VERY LONG hair. This is a challenging task for a hair stylist, and I told them when booking the appointment how long, and thick my hair was. Upon arrival, I did not sit in the stylist’s chair until 35 minutes AFTER my appointment start. I was patient. After application of my color, I sat for over an hour with this dye in my hair while she cut a gentleman’s hair and dyed another womans hair. When she finally rinsed me out, she had the hardest time brushing my hair. I told her what technique to use…and what brush….and it did go smoothly thereafter. I left the shop not satisfied with the color it came out, but figured I would rock it anyways…I understand the color cant be exact. The next day, I styled my hair (no washing) and noticed many spots she “missed.” I did contact the shop, and they did offer to fix it….but I was uncomfortable returning based on the above information. I do think that a simple cut, or basic color is best for this shop. Anything spunky, different, difficult or hair with texture….is best left for a different shop.
