Village barber shop is a mainstay of the Lawrenceville strip. The original owner retired in Feb 2022, and Ken has taken over as newanagement, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my haircut. Walk-ins currently welcomed, but it helps to make an appt since business is picking up, and it’s well-deserved! Ken has over 30 years experience cutting hair, running a much larger salon, so you can be certain you’ll be taken care of! Cash, check, and CCs all accepted.

First visit with Ken (the new owner) as Roe was off today and Joe has retired. Very friendly, nice haircut and cleaned up my beard.

Joe and Roe (and Carmen) have been cutting my hair since I was less than 10yr old and I still come back anytime I’m back visiting friends and family. A true institution of Lawrenceville, the Village Barber Shop will always have a soft spot in my heart.

@ Gordon Miller… In response to the negative review. The Village Barber Shop is an old fashioned barber shop not a boutique. If you want an haircut that is what you get, an haircut and a damn fine one at that. You get good conversation and that is why most of the clientele return, some for over 50 years. If you are in such a godawful hurry that you cannot slow your overly important life down to “smell the roses” once in awhile then don’t bother going there. I have been going to this barber shop nigh on my entire life (63 years old) and have never gotten a bad cut… See the key word is haircut not style. Joe and Ro are to be experienced as well as the eclectic clients that frequent the shop.

Joe and Roe always provide good results, in great atmosphere, with no appointment provided. I look forward to regular hair cuts here. Note, though, that credit cards are not accepted

It’s a traditional barber shop. Nothing fancy. Talk, good hair cuts, great price for the area. Always Frank Sinatra playing.

Small-town barbershop, built to be a community hub. Don’t come here expecting speed. Come here to slow down, and get a good cut.
