Lori is BEYOND wonderful! We have been bringing our 12 year old son there for a few years now and my son cherishes the 30 or so minutes that he gets in her chair immensely. He loves talking with her, she engages with him and always leaves him feeling so great about the way his hair looks! She will treat your child like a person, with respect and is such a leader for that! I will recommend Lori and village barber 10 out of 10 times, Lori is an absolute blessing to our community!

Today I went for my third time and my last. The gals there have been rude everytime and giving me the dirtiest looks. I’d give this place a 10 out of 5 because of Dan, great person, kind and approachable and he gives really good quality cuts. Lori, in specific, has always made me feel unwelcome. This time it was me coming in, I smiled big right at her and sat down and there were other people waiting. And she gave me a very rude look and was condescending and asked what are you doin here? I didn’t even get to answer yet and she goes a haircut? (With a bit of tone) And I just shrugged it off and said yup. The first time I got a hair cut was by one of the gals and I cant remember if it was lori or the other gal, and she was passive aggressive with me and we had a conversation about dogs and I started talking about my dog and she was putting me down for how I train my dog, not construction criticism at all, just being plain rude and about how my hair is awful because of the old coloring.I let it go.. couple months I go back and I get Dan and then I got Dan again today, again awesome dude, but never will I go back because of the bad energy the gals were giving me. I’m not making any accusations, but I’m not white and my conscience and gut feeling are warning me about why they are like this to me. They show classic signs. I’ve been their multiple times when I wasnt getting a hair cut and its busy and they’re super nice to everyone else, but me… the uncomfortable stares and condescending remarks have got me out of there. I gave it 3 tries and I never give reviews if I’ve had a bad experience but this overall has affected me quiet a bit. I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAN!!!

I recently moved to Washington from Las Vegas Nevada and I’m currently residing in Gig Harbor. Upon moving out here, I did my research on a good Barber shop to get my hair cut and I happen to come across “The Village Barber Salon.” This is the place to go if you want a very friendly staff with excellent customer service and Barbers with years of experience. Not just the typical hair stylist noobie right out of salon school. These people know what they are doing! I would personally like to suggest Fred. Fred is a superb barber that takes passion in what he does. I love the intellectual and humorous conversations we have. He’s too funny. Cutting hair is definitely an art for Fred and he is quite talented to say the least. I choose Fred because he gives me that showbiz, Hollywood movie style hair cut that I’m use to getting in Las Vegas. Its just an all around perfect, sharp, masculine haircut. I can’t wait to get another one in a few weeks. THINK WITH YOUR HEAD & CHOOSE FRED!!!
