Was a regular customer and now this place has seriously went down hill. The ambiance is nice but absolutely not worth the extreme prices and charge for every single little thing. Left space by my cuticles and acrylic is super thick and horrible.

So… After the first manicure was sloppy and all over the place….. This is the second one. The tech was obviously irritated and careless with her tools. Unfortunately, she also made it known to all of her co-workers walking by that she was irritated and unhappy. Not only was she rough and had an attitude with us … She also burnt her skin and cut her finger. Please see the pic below.

I went today to get a pedicure paying $65 right? Well not satisfied at all. I wear glasses and didn’t have them on today. Got home and this is what I saw. So so disappointed. This has never happened to me at this shop. I’m freaking out!!!! I’m headed on vacation in 2 days and needed to get this done today.

Critical: ProfessionalismI came in for a pedicure, during the middle of my pedicure I’ve decided to upgrade to a massage service. When I asked the lady doing my pedicure she replied “you asked for regular” after a while I asked her again if she’s going to start the massage. She replied “no you asked for regular that’s what I’m doing you’re almost done” and proceeded to argue with me about the service I’m getting. After a coworker of hers told her she needs to do the massage, she became very visibly mad and stormed off. She was made to come back and do the massage. When I asked the lady doing my pedicure she replied “you asked for regular” after a while I asked her again if she’s going to start the massage. I have been going to this nail shop for a couple of years now. I love the massage, foot scrub, paraffin wax and all. I feel those services is what’s unique about this place. Today I experienced something out the ordinary. RACISM! I’m serious!! 4 Caucasian women walked in after me no app. and similar services. All of them were serviced before me. When I asked the attendant about this, he was very dismissive and said they were in before me. Correction. No they were not and you were late coming in yourself! I am not going to argue with anyone. He said your next. Me: No I’m not I’m leaving. I am very very disappointed!!!. I also noticed all the beautiful black queens that came in when he was attending the service desk waiting while all the Caucasian women were being service. Wasted 45 minutes here! Don’t worry l. I can spend my hard earned money elsewhere. LOTUS NAIL AND SPA SALON HERE I COME!!! IMMA NEED THAT DRINK!

Critical: Professionalism, QualitySince I moved to Chicago I’ve been having a hard time to find a good place to do my nails… I got so happy when I visited this salon and Ashley did my nails. They were perfect- just the Way I like it. But when I wanted to book another appointment there was no even one day available. I read someone’s comment about that too. After a few tries I said forget it and continue searching for another place who actually wanted my business… so a few days ago I decided to try again. And I got it. The lady Ais I believe her name is and it looks like she is a manager she did my nails and they were really good. When it came a time to pay I got charged 93$ . There is no anything special added to it. It’s a just a simple ombre French . I didn’t say a word – I really liked them.so I paid. To my surprise one of my nails broke off a day and a half later . So knowing customer service I was pretty sure it will get fixed. When I came in to the salon I told the same manager )or the one who acts like one who actually did my nails )what happened she said I would still have to pay to repair it. Even though it wasn’t fair but I agreed. when she proceeds to tell me that no one is available to do and it’s gonna be a long time if I decide to wait So I asked her why she couldn’t fix it because she the one who messed up. She just ignored me .Im not asking for a special treatment but that was just plain disrespect. So NO for me to these rude ladies who talks about every customer in them own language and laughs about it. Just left this shop getting a full set. The pricing is so inconsistent, depending on who the tech is that is doing your nails. Amy will charge for any and everything. She charged me for long nails after I got them cut down and was not charged by the other techs before the cut down. She charged for almond shaped and I’m not understanding why because you have to shape a new set regardless. This is my last time here! I won’t be back after today. Don’t like when techs can just charge whatever they feel like charging without any bases! I’m not going to argue or feel like I’m being cheated! I’ll just go someplace with consistent pricing.

I got my nails done here and told the guy that did my nails that I didn’t want them to be thick, he said ok. He was almost done and I told him to make them thinner and he went over them a couple of times which made no difference at all! They are not shaped correctly and honestly looks like a poor job. I went back to the salon to see if they could be fixed and the lady at the front said I need the original receipt in order for anything to be done because they need to know who did it. I showed her where my bank info on my phone that showed I spent $130 at that nail salon and she still said they have to have the original receipt!! Wow! That’s a horrible policy and I definitely won’t be a returning customer!!! Poor customer service!!!
