Critical: Punctuality, QualityThis was such a terrible experience, I’m honestly shocked at their rating. I came by over the weekend with my partner for a quick hydration after a busy weekend and prior to a hike. A 30 minute appointment turned into 2 hours. It took the staff an hour to even take our vitals and another 10 to bring the iv bags back. We were about to walk out but the receptionist asked us to wait just another 5 minutes because they were short staffed. They didn’t seem to be very busy either. From what I could hear there were only two other patients being seen while we were there. The iv set up was where the real trouble started. I advised the nurse that my left arm was the best option due to past history and having pretty deep veins. She struggled finding a vein and seemed rather nervous, it took awhile for her to locate anything. After finally hooking me up, the bag wouldn’t drip and took additional adjustments. Her nervousness had increased by the time she got to my partner. He has very prominent veins and has never had an issue giving blood or getting an iv. For whatever reason she had his arm twisted at a strange angle and inserted the needle pretty high on his bicep rather than the bend of his arm. He turned legit green and had to ask for a vomit bag. The nurse had to remove the needle as he was in a lot of pain and hook him to oxygen. It was another 20 before she attempted to try his other arm. We honestly should have left. It was another 45 for the iv bag to drain. Afterwards He spent the entire day feeling sick and very light headed, pretty opposite to how you should feel after this treatment. He now has a massive bruise on his arm to show for it. The nurse assured us they have people get sick which I don’t doubt but also had no snacks or anything to offer for people that do get sick. With how much this treatment cost, I wouldn’t recommend. This was such a terrible experience, I’m honestly shocked at their rating.
