Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueThe first couple of times I went to Vicky’s nails I was very happy with the results. However, the third time I went in, was a disaster. I had to get in because my acrylic was lifting and my real nail under it broke and I was in pain. I went in and told them that the nail hurt because it broke. They used the machine on it anyway and it hurt so badly that I jumped. They then tried to pry the nail off with clippers which chipped part of my nail off down to the skin and destroyed it. I kept asking the tech to stop using the machine and to please just soak it in acetone for the nail that hurt. After the acrylics had soaked in acetone for a while they continued to use the machine on my bare nail and filed it so thin that now it’s down to the skin. I also got a pedicure and as you can see it is sloppy. I was assured the powder would come off much easier and be better than gel. Had I gone back to Vicky’s I am sure they would have used the machine again on my already super thin nail and I would have had to walk out, which is what I should have done in the first place. I will not be returning to this salon. I found someone who actually knows what she is doing and doesn’t use the machine to take the easy way out on the bare nail. My new tech had a very difficult time getting the powder off and I was very mislead about how easily it would come off.
