In today’s visit my experience was not good. I came in for a root touch up. Roxanne was my stylist and there were several services I was not satisfied with. First, the hair wash, which is usually my favorite, became my least favorite because she was rushed and rough. Once my color was washed and styled I left but soon noticed there was die left behind on my forehead and face. When I returned to my stylist, she said “Oh, I noticed that but let me try a hot towel this time”. I then realized she knew about it before but let me walk out like that. This truly bothered me and although I did not say anything directly to her I ask if she could just finish checking elsewhere to make sure nothing else was missed to which she replied, “just wash it when you get home”. This was not the purpose of me paying for the service to have it washed and styled for me to just rewash at home. As I arrived home with the intention to put it behind me I realized she added root color much darker than my natural color which now bothers me. Although she was not rude about it I think she lacks the skills to provide good customer service.

I’ve had a great experience coming to Hazel at Vicara over the last year or two. The salon is always clean and peaceful. Hazel is very honest, professional and knowledgeable. I’m ruined!, I can never trust my hair with anyone else but her ♥️ that’s just how good she is!!! Blessed to find her. Thank Hazel and Vicara for a great experience each visit, one less thing to stress about

Before 2020, this was my go-to salon. I would have recommended this salon to anyone, my hair came out great every time. More recently, the last 4 visits have gone from less-than-great, to shockingly bad. Now I am in search of a new hair salon. I’ve given them a few tries, and the quality just isn’t where it once was.

The worst customer service. I called them and informed that I would be few minutes late and when I arrived they said the hair stylist is gone. Such a unprofessional!! And started arguing that they have only 15 min wait ( so 25$ deposit for 15 min wait)? Seriously?! Not even a Beverly hills high end hair salons have this wait time. Waste of time.

I have been coming to Vicara Salon in Chino Hills now for several years. I had an amazing stylist by the name of Baylee who I really enjoyed working with. Unfortunately she left to join another salon that was just too far away for me to commute. Since that time I’ve been looking for a new stylist who could color and cut my short pixie hair. I decided to spend the money to see a Master II Stylist named Hazel. I had a very bad experience with this stylist and since this stylist is a private contractor Vicara’s manager told me there is not much they can do about it. Needless to say I won’t be coming back. I do not recommend this Salon any longer.

Positive: ProfessionalismI enjoy going in for a great trim for each of my appointments. I know my hair can be simply but a good cut goes a long way. The salon is always clean and everyone is always friendly. I appreciate being greeted and asked if I want tea or water. Vanessa always has a helpful tip to keep my hair shiny and healthy.

The salon is always clean and that lovely scent of a spa pervades. Katie was excellent. I had my hair colored for the first time in about 18 years. She took the time to explain everything: choice of coloring options, colors, and the process involved. I’ve been coming here for years. If you join their mailing list, you’ll receive alerts regarding special discounts. Yesterday’s color came with a 40% discount.
