The spa itself is exquisite, very beautiful and professional!

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityHorrible experience with Venus Salon and spa. I am a COVID ICU RN. I made an appointment for services on my 1 day off between multiple 12hr shifts. Figured it would be nice to treat myself, after being overworked on the front lines caring for those in need. At 9pm the day before my appointment I got a call from my boss stating I would be required to come in the next day (at 5am) for a shift as they were desperately short staffed, (due to staff call outs, most sick with COVID themselves). I attempted to reach out to the esthetician I made my appointment with to tell her I would not be able to make my appointment. Despite this effort, apologizing, and explaining my specific situation I was charged the full amount of my service for “no call no show”.I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I hope you do too. While businesses around the community are stepping up to support health care workers during this pandemic, Venus shows no grace in their policies. Horrible experience with Venus Salon and spa. I am a COVID ICU RN. I made an appointment for services on my 1 day off between multiple 12hr shifts. Figured it would be nice to treat myself, after being overworked on the front lines caring for those in need. She is a magical unicorn of an esthetician in that she has the knowledge of a dermatologist, the caring nature and empathy of a sister or best friend, and hands that can put you to sleep while her mystical products go to work on your face. I have the worst—let me repeat, the. WORST.—skin imaginable and yet every time I come see this woman she has me leaving feeling so fresh, insanely relaxed, and full of hope. It can be nerve-racking finding a good esthetician when you move so often with the military and don’t want to waste money on someone who just slaps some product on your face and couldn’t care less about you.
