Venus is a godsend! So conveniently located in the North Greenbush plaza with ample parking. You can walk in without an appointment and most days not even wait more than 5 mins as Anthony attentively helps you. I’ve seen almost every nail tech here and they are all very professional and put much pride in their work. This is no “we need to get this done in 20 mins” place where they just want to get the maximum customers in for profit. They take their time when necessary.

I was a regular before COVID occurred and was always happy with my ANC and pedicures. Today’s visit was a huge disappointment. The young technician was clearly annoyed when I asked her to wait a couple of minutes for my friend to join us as we were scheduled for pedicures. My friend arrived within five minutes so it should not have been a big deal especially since the place was not busy in the least. Once finished with the pedicure, the technician immediately walked away and sat down with her phone. She didn’t acknowledge me again so I grabbed my shoes and walked to the drying area. It was an unpleasant experience and I will not be returning.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityOn August 20th, 2021 I went to this salon as a highly recommended place from a co worker. The gentleman that sat in the far left hand corner did my ANC. He rushed through the process and as you can see my nails are uneven and lumpy. I asked him to fix them and he said okay no problem and they still looked terrible. Instead of saying something to the owner Kevin right then and there I called the following day requesting to speak to Kevin. I told him what happened and he told me the guy could fix them. I expressed to the owner I did not this guy doing my nails because he messed them up then tried to fix them and they still looked like garbage. I asked him if someone else could fix them and he said no next time I come in to ask for someone else. I am completely disappointed in the service I received as a first time customer, you think the owner would want to make things right by fixing them, refunding me, or giving me a credit for my next visit…but no. Made an appt for my daughter with them for a pedicure and anc. Appointment was for 2:00. They started to take walk ins ahead of her and she sat there for an hour……..never seen. I went back to pick her up and said exactly how I felt and told her we would go somewhere else. They are very disorganized. This was the second time in a row this happened to us. The first time I chalked it up to being busy. Now that it happened again we WILL NOT be going back.

I’m not really sure what all the nasty reviews are about. I have seriously never had a bad experience here. Every time I leave, my nails look stunning. Nowhere North of Troy could make my nails look this nice. Every nail tech has evenly cut, shape, and filed the nail perfectly. If you don’t want to wait around just call and make an appointment ahead of time! You will enjoy the service Venus Nail Spa brings to you.

My friend and hair stylist recommended Venus, and I told Kevin that when I went. He also knew these nails were for my wedding. I booked an appointment the week before, but both my pedicure and my manicure were rushed. The pedicure left my feet feeling rough and so dry that they were cracking and painful but the nails came out good. One trip to my old salon and my feet are baby soft, she even said something about the state my feet were left in! The pictures of my manicure speak for themselves. One is a picture of what I got and the other is what I asked for. I was really disappointed in my experience. If this is how customers are treated knowing it’s for an important occasion, I can’t imagine what kind of job would be done for an every day occasion.
