I’ve been going here for about a year now, and even since moving away I make the trip because I always like my nails. I was really bummed with today’s service. I’ve never had this nail tech before. I don’t have a problem with the polish/dip itself, it is as pretty as always, it is what he did after. He started using the tool and it completely destroyed my cuticles. It was painful and rough, and I could see my skin being broken. I always keep good care of my nails, so this is not how my cuticles look. There is also dried dip on the skin around my nails. I’ve spent the night trying to clean up my skin because these were my birthday nails, but it was too painful and I can’t make the cuticle area grow back. I am really bummed, not sure if I want to make the trip out there anymore. :/

Booked services for three people before reading the reviews and was wondering if I should keep the reservation. I’m really happy I did! My nail tech was very detail oriented on my black French tip, almond shaped nails. She compared nail to nail and adjusted as needed to make sure they looked similar. She checked with my multiple times throughout the process to make sure I was happy with each step.

First time going going to this nail salon recommended by a good friend. The place is clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Staff was very professional and hard working. I walked in and was attended to very quickly with very minimal wait. I paid $40 for a dip and $25 for regular pedi and I loved it! I paid with card and unfortunately they cannot add tip to the transaction, not sure why. So, take cash for the tip! I will definitely be back!

We were looking for a spot to get pedicures because our normal place was too busy. We decided to make a random stop in and we’re glad we did! Great atmosphere, CLEAN and the owners that took care of us were very friendly. I want to say her name was Tracy, can’t remember his name. We talked up how great the experience was right in front of them. When service is that good, you have to applaud it and let them know it’s very appreciated. I’m personally going out in a limb and saying this was the very best and most relaxing experience that I’ve personally ever had getting a pedicure. And that’s saying a lot! They have earned our future business! Thank you!

OPI Hard to get appt or walkin here. Disappointing cuticle clean up. Not great at all. Took about 1hr 30mins to finish. Too long for me. An hour should suffice especially if the style is not detailed and the manicure is not impeccable.

I love Velvet Nails!! I switched over to them from another salon about 4 months ago and I don’t plan on going anywhere else. All of the staff are super nice and actually take their time on your nails! The dip lasts so long and always looks amazing. (Plus they’re always playing good music lol) Currently obsessed with my new ombre dip nails in the photo below!
