Critical: QualityI went in on a Thursday evening. I was about 10 minutes late due to traffic, however I did call in and let them know of my tardiness. When I entered the young lady at the front was kind and explained to me that I needed to wash my hands and someone will be with my in just a moment. I was seated for my pedicure and the young man who did it, did very well. Now when it came time for my nail, I felt rushed… I wanted to get dip powder as that is what was already on my nails. Typically, most Nail techs would let my nails soak over time before using the drill to remove the color. Therefore, when the young lady tried to take off my color she used a drill as if it was acrylic burning me more than once on my nail beds – later that night my nails felt tender into the next day. Young lady was real sweet, after we go to talking but the start of the session her and one other nail tech was working on removing my color which just made me feel like I was being rushed to get out, which fine if that was the case I could have taken my business elsewhere.Moving forward into the weekend I noticed Sunday my nails looks scrapped and one nail cracked on the side… mind you, I’ve been doing dipping powder for YEARS with my previous nail tech(she moved), so I know this isn’t quality work – I’ve never had this issue before with my previous nail tech and especially since I’m spending 40.00 for a service that didn’t even last me a week? Very disappointed. I gave this place a 2 star because the young man did a good job in my pedicure and the nail tech eventually opened up and started having conversation with me which didn’t make the experience so boring.I went in on a Thursday evening. I went in on a Thursday evening. I was about 10 minutes late due to traffic, however I did call in and let them know of my tardiness. When I entered the young lady at the front was kind and explained to me that I needed to wash my hands and someone will be with my in just a moment. I used to do just plain color dip powders with Ethan, until one day after I kept seeing his nail art with other clients I decided to be adventurous and try a new look for my nails. Ethan is always ready for any design that you show him, and will make it look so easy. I’ve been going to Velvet Nail Bar since day one. I love the service I always receive and they always meet my expectations. I used to do just plain color dip powders with Ethan, until one day after I kept seeing his nail art with other clients I decided to be adventurous and try a new look for my nails. Ethan is always ready for any design that you show him, and will make it look so easy. Pedicures there are my favorite too, I always go with my grandma and she loves it!

She personally goes to Monica, but told me that every tech there is great. I made an appointment with Ethan after finding his Instagram and wow, he delivered. He executed a beautiful acrylic set, with a hand-painted design on all 10 of my nails, in just one hour. My nails came out better than both of the reference pictures I showed him. He pays sooo much attention to detail. This salon is 30 minutes away from my house, but 110% worth the drive. I can’t recommend this place more. A friend of mine who always has beautiful acrylics recommended this salon to me. She personally goes to Monica, but told me that every tech there is great. I made an appointment with Ethan after finding his Instagram and wow, he delivered. He executed a beautiful acrylic set, with a hand-painted design on all 10 of my nails, in just one hour. My nails came out better than both of the reference pictures I showed him. He pays sooo much attention to detail. This salon is 30 minutes away from my house, but 110% worth the drive. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and had a great experience. I wasn’t going to write a review when the next day my mail chipped, but as the week went on I kept getting more and more mail breaks and chipping. It has been 1 week from today and this is what my nails look like. Dip usually lasts me 3-4 weeks… they used a clear gel nail polish on top which I’ve never had done before and maybe that’s why they are breaking and cracking… very sad about this because now I will not be returning.Service: Dip powderI was really excited about this place when I saw the reviews and was able to make my appointment on their website. I was really excited about this place when I saw the reviews and was able to make my appointment on their website. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and had a great experience. I wasn’t going to write a review when the next day my mail chipped, but as the week went on I kept getting more and more mail breaks and chipping. It has been 1 week from today and this is what my nails look like. Dip usually lasts me 3-4 weeks… they used a clear gel nail polish on top which I’ve never had done before and maybe that’s why they are breaking and cracking… very sad about this because now I will not be returning.
