Leslie and David have grown up within the hair industry and have over 50 years of experience between them. Having worked together for a number of years, they set out to create a salon & spa that provided a unique experience both to its clientele as well as the talented artists that worked with them. This dream culminated in the creation of the Vaughan Diann Salon & Spa, which opened its doors on June 9th, 2015. Light, modern, and airy, the inviting space exudes a sense of welcome, warmth, and creativity. The team that joined Leslie and David bring additional experience and dedication to the craft and continue to grow and expands to this day. We welcome you, and wish you well! I came into the salon with a terrible “balayage” from another salon and was able to be squeezed into a color consultation with Krista. Krista was extremely knowledgeable about my hair and knew exactly what we had to do to correct it. Even though she didn’t have a ton of time she was able to glaze my hair so that it could last till the next time I saw her. I’ve gone back twice and each time I am more and more impress with her work as well as the other stylists I’ve seen while in the chair. All the employees are super kind and attentive. Best salon in Annapolis! Thank you all!

Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI had a wonderful experience at this salon this morning! My 4 year old daughter and I really needed haircuts after letting our hair grow wild during the pandemic. I booked appointments here because I saw that masks were required regardless of vaccination, which was important for me with a child in tow. Jordan and Tracy did a wonderful job cutting our hair and making my daughter – who was nervous – feel comfortable! I had a wonderful experience at this salon this morning! My 4 year old daughter and I really needed haircuts after letting our hair grow wild during the pandemic. I booked appointments here because I saw that masks were required regardless of vaccination, which was important for me with a child in tow. Jordan and Tracy did a wonderful job cutting our hair and making my daughter – who was nervous – feel comfortable! Bonus: my hair looks great and my daughter was super happy to have a fancy salon experience with Mommy.

I would have only given 1 star BUT because of Leslie I give 3. I went in to get my highlights fixed, it had been too long and I had about 2 inches of brown roots showing. The women that did my hair on my first visit was super friendly and nice but the whole visit felt rushed. I left unhappy still with my roots showing, $200 and it looked like nothing had been done. I called the salon and the stylist reached out. I wasn’t comfortable going back to her. I later heard from Leslie, who assured me it was an easy fix. When I went back I felt so uncomfortable, my previous stylist walked past me and made eye contact more than once without a single word. My new stylist and Leslie came up with a plan to fix my hair. It wasn’t until the blow dry portion of my appointment that thing went south again. I had plans for 7 and was assured by the kind man at the front and my new stylist that I should be done way before that. When it was time to wash my foils out she told me she had another client and was looking for someone who could blow dry me since she wouldn’t be available. I said to her that was fine but I needed to leave by 7. She didn’t like that. She then came back with a sarcastic “I moved some things around so I can blow dry you”. I was so frustrated with this salon I felt like crying. Since this visit was to be free of charge I was planning on tipping the stylist that fixed my hair, but after she was done blow drying I just left. I wanted to run out about 45 mins before that. The only reason I would even rate this is because of Leslie she was kind and reassuring. I promise I won’t be returning after 2 uncomfortable visits. Over all the salon was beautiful but the people were not so nice. The judgment was so obvious and the tension could be cut with a knife. If you’re looking to switch salons this is not the one. But thank you again to Leslie and thank you for taking the time to help fix mistakes made before.

Jess can do a variety of massage techniques. I always go to her before and after one of my big race events for a deep tissue massage with hot stones and cupping. She is extremely professional and will make you feel relaxed. I recently sent me mom to her for an emergency deep tissue surgery and she relieved her pain the same day. I have been going to Vaughan Diann to get massages from Jess and she is amazing! The staff there is very welcoming. Jess can do a variety of massage techniques. I always go to her before and after one of my big race events for a deep tissue massage with hot stones and cupping. She is extremely professional and will make you feel relaxed. I am beyond impressed with this Salon. I hadn’t gotten my haircut in two years because of a couple bad experiences elsewhere but really needed to get it done. From the moment I entered the salon, I knew I had made the right choice. The receptionist welcomed me with a beverage and soon Patricia, my stylist, greeted me and took me to her chair. She asked me to share my story and that made me feel so special and heard. The shampoo woman, Anyy, gave me the best shampoo I’ve ever had, accompanied by a wonderful head massage. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Patricia did a wonderful job cutting and styling my hair, and even took care of donating my length of cut hair. She gave me exactly the haircut I was looking for – perfection. The salon atmosphere is great, as well. I am so impressed and can’t wait to go back!

Had my hair cut and colored by Leah. So sweet, knowledgeable, and professional. My hair looks amazing!!! After a bunch of bad experiences at salons, I was terrified to have someone I didn’t know color it, but it is exactly what i wanted and the cut is super cute. Leslie, the owner, goes above and beyond for her clients. She is really nice and truly cares about what she does. Absolutely recommend this place:). Also, receptionist was super nice on the phone:). Jessica is a must see for color correction! I previously dyed my lightened blonde hair purple, pink and then burgundy. At home I attempted to strip my hair which lightened my naturally brown roots to turn yellow/orange, my mids were left an unflattering red and my ends turned green/blue (oops – I think I just described the Steelers logo haha). Jessica managed to fix my quarter life crisis. Everything blended so well and I couldn’t be happier!

I started going to Leslie for color and cuts around 15 years ago (yikes) and will never stray from her or her salon of hard working professionals. I’m the most particular and nervous client (even though I never do anything different) but the Vaughan Diann team always delivers and makes me feel comforted and confident. No joke, every self-respected woman I know has a VD stylist doing their hair and it’s because this group of artists are truly the best around.
