I have gone here three times now. Once for a blow out, once for a trim and then for a smoothing treatment. Although a really nice boutique salon, the prices are reasonable and the stylists are high end stylists while down to earth. They are wonderful with my three year old. Kate is so personable and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She’s the best for textured hair.

I recently came into the salon to get my hair cut by sarah. I have pretty long hair and I just wanted to take the dead ends off. She did a phenomenal job. Time and time again she kills it. I’m not just pleased with the work she does but I’m taken aback by the experience she creates. She is calm, professional, kind, detail oriented and an all around great stylist. I leave every time feeling like a better version of me. Her cuts give you a confidence boost. Not only do I love sarah but all of the staff is professional, respectful, accommodating and a joy to do business with. I had such a wonderful experience here! I went in for my routine hair cut and clean up, I left feeling refreshed and beautiful. I had a different stylist than my usual but I’ll be sticking with my new one! Sarah gave me a brand new hairstyle and cut on her recommendation and it was just what I needed. Her styling was incredible but what was much needed was her services and kindness. She gives everyone a massive confidence boost as soon as they walk in the door!

I’ve been going to Varuna Aveda for 4.5 years (since moving to Maryland and requiring a new hair stylist). I go to Garrett monthly and I adore him! There’s absolutely no one else I trust with my hair. I now have an undercut, and Garrett gives incredible attention to the details during my monthly cleanups! A few years ago I decided to go silver and he helped me make the choice to not bleach out my hair and instead go with an ash look under the dye job so that it would still look good when I inevitably decided to change up the color (he knows me all too well). He also somehow remembers everything going on in my life, so it feels like catching up with a friend when I come in. I’m including a pic of my current hair! (Color is Overtone but style is all Garrett!)

It is clear that they all take great care to make sure you look and feel your best for a big occasion, and work closely with you so that it is just what you want. Thanks especially to Gina for spending LOTS of time wrestling my normally unruly hair into a very polished and elegant style for the evening. And to Jeffrey for flawless makeup (along with great advice on what would work) and making me feel so relaxed and taken care of while he was working. I went for a full trial before the actual event, which I highly recommend doing so that the day of everyone knows what to expect and do and you can just feel pampered!

I had an amazing experience. Came to town for an overnight stay. On my way that morning I called and was able to book a massage and facial! Nicole performed a 90 minute massage that was one of the best I’ve ever had. Jeffery was the aesthetician. He was fantastic. I’m super picky and this experience met all of my expectations. Clean, comfortable, professional, friendly, and custom!! Highly recommend.
