This salon is now called Van’s Professional Hair Salon. It’s a bit confusing as the sign outside says VP Hair Salon and the business cards still read H&H Hair Salon. To make things worst, Google’s name and magazines read L hair salon…so it’s a bit confusing as F. The new owner Van is friendly and appears to know what she’s doing. They do not stick to one hair brand. I see Matrix Biolage, Chi Hair, Paul Mitchell, Bain de Terre and many others. Not sure if they are doing old-school perms or digital perms. They have some old school perm machines here so makes me think the other. They hold a current Cos Salon TDLR license under 785240 so it makes sense to say someone holds a license and business is legit. There’s ample waiting space so if you’re not in a hurry, you can chill.

I have difficult hair to cut and I’m kinda picky about my hair being cut nicely. I give Van’s Professional Hair Salon 5 stars for a really nice haircut at a fair price. They have the most comfortable shampoo chairs I have ever sat in. I have a bad neck so that’s a big plus for me! It’s obvious they care about their customers. I highly recommend.

I have been getting my haircut by Van for years now and she never disappoints. She is very professional and takes her time to sculpt a great haircut. She cares about her customers and will take the time to get to know you. She provides excellent service and I would recommend her to anyone!

Updating as my review is old. Haven’t been in a few years because of an incident involving the treatment of a small child I witnessed. The parent wasn’t nearby and my request for the stylist to be gentler was ignored because the child “was fine”. I disagreed, as did others, because the chills was grimacing and crying as she worked on her hair. The supervisor basically said to mind my business. At that point the mom was aware of the situation, but basically had to stay because she was I the middle of getting her hair dyed. Myself and a coupe others left at that point, and I personally haven’t been back since. Plenty of other salons I can go to in the area.
