Vanity Hair Studio was established in February of 2008. Since Heidi White opened the doors, the salon has been booming with happy clients and has earned a great business reputation. Heidi has expanded the salon two times, and it now occupies the 1200 square foot studio she independently owns and operates. Because of her easy going personality and love of good energy, she and her amazing team, have turned the studio into a huge success, and it was even nationally chosen by Elle Magazine as top 100 salons in the US two years in a row. The people of Portsmouth continue to choose Vanity Hair Studio as their home for beautiful hair, skin, bright white teeth, and perfectly groomed eyebrows.

After a rebonding procedure, when you sleep make sure your hair is straight and your head is not trapping your hair in a weird angle. After 3 days, wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner. Apply the conditioner at the tip of your hair for 5 minutes. Wash off your hair thoroughly of any residue.

How Long Does Permanent Straightening Last?
It is generally a long and time-consuming procedure which takes no less than six to eight hours depending on the length of your hair. That’s not all; Japanese Hair Straightening requires another hour or so for the next follow-up session after three days of getting the treatment done

I was a very nervous that the wedding coordinator left in between when I booked Vanity and my wedding this September, but everything went perfectly. The bridesmaids and my mom were amazed at how they all did different hair and make up to perfectly suit the variety of hair/ skin types across multiple ages and races. My make up and hair was even better than the trial and they brought along an extra lipstick I purchased for me to reapply throughout the day. They even finished early and the total amounted to exactly what was expected. I am so grateful for Erica and Alexis. I could not have asked for a better crew on my wedding day.

I used Vanity Hair Studio for my wedding, and they were great! One of the most annoying things I came across as a bride was the minimums for hair/makeup that many studios/artists require to work with you. Vanity is way more relaxed, easy to work with, and accommodating – they didn’t require a minimum number of applications, which relieved a lot of stress in the planning process. They also provided two stylists, which allowed us to start later, and not have as many girls waking up super early and having to wait around all day with their hair and makeup done so early. I had them do hair and both natural and airbrush makeup. Everything came out very pretty, and their prices were extremely reasonable. I would work with them again!
