It has been a couple of months since I last walked into Vanity but my experiences have recently come up in conversation and I’m still very unhappy with the service. To start off, I have only had rough experiences here with how my hair/makeup turned out. The haircuts I got were always splotchy and awful looking, granted I like to do crazy things with my hair but they should be able to understand something as simple as curtain bangs and a short cut with layers, but what I really want to talk about is the makeup services. This has all been done by the same lady and when I walked in there to get my makeup done for prom it was a super long wait even though she wasn’t serving anyone. Finally, she got out her dusty looking makeup bag and at first glances- nothing in there seemed to be washed and everything looked to have been at least 3 years old. Luckily, I had brought my own makeup and brushes to work with. I showed her what I wanted and then she proceeded to use her own products on me that I indicated I didn’t want her using. I had to constantly tell her what to do and what not to do but she did mostly what she wanted to do. For example, I didn’t want a cut crease and the pictures I showed her didn’t have a cut crease, but she did a cut crease anyway. After everything was already done she got out the lashes. Let me tell you all of those lashes were HUGE. I picked the smallest ones she had but she glued them on and it was like two great big spiders coming out of my eyes. The worst part was having to pay $50 for the most awful makeup I’ve ever had on my face. I walked out of the store for the last time and went home to redo all of it. My advice to anyone looking for makeup services in this area would be to do it yourself because only you can make it how you want it.

Heather has done my hair for YEARS and she is amazing. I seriously wouldn’t trust anyone else to touch my hair, except Amber, I’ve seen her work and she is pretty amazing, too! Keep up the good work ladies, the salon looks almost as amazing as the hair you send out the door ❤️
