Skin Care Clinic
Active FX, Deep FX and Total FX
Active FX is the gold standard in laser resurfacing. It can dramatically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots, and other irregularities on the face, neck and chest. By removing sun damage with fractional technology, it stimulates the formation of new and healthy skin and new collagen. This provides greater elasticity and support which results in more youthful, firmer, tighter skin. In one week you can see incredible results that used to take 3 or more weeks of healing! For those looking to go a little deeper, Deep FX is another option in CO2 laser resurfacing that penetrates to the lower part of the collagen layer to repair deep lines and wrinkles, acne scars and scars from surgery or trauma. Effective as a standalone treatment, Deep FX can also work in combination with Active FX (referred to as Total FX) to achieve optimal results.

BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription drug that, when injected, temporarily paralyzes muscles. It contains a purified and safe form of botulinum toxin A, which is produced by the microbe that causes botulism. Manufactured by Allergan, Inc., it is used to treat permanent furrows and deep wrinkles in the skin that are formed by the continual contraction of facial muscles. In addition to its cosmetic applications, it is used to treat a number of medical problems, including excessive sweating, overactive bladder, neck spasms, crossed eyes, chronic back and jaw pain, and migraines.
Belotero Balance®
FDA approved hyaluronic acid filled manufactured by Merz. Belotero Balance® Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. The versatility of the product makes it strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).
Cellfina™ Cellulite Reduction

Clear + Brilliant
When Clear + Brilliant laser treatments were approved by the FDA, Van Dyke was the first dermatology practice in the Southwest to offer it. Clear + Brilliant comes from Solta Medical, the pioneer in fractional resurfacing and non-invasive skin tightening. In contrast to more aggressive Fraxel laser treatments, Clear +Brilliant is a gentle laser that refreshes the skin from within. The laser energy is directed at target areas on the face where the laser energy creates millions of microscopic holes in the upper layers of the skin. The body reacts to these perceived injuries by replacing the damaged skin with new, younger-looking tissue. Clear + Brilliant addresses an unmet need in skin care, lying somewhere between over-the-counter or spa treatments and more aggressive treatments such as Fraxel. With Clear + Brilliant there is no downtime, and the best results are achieved after six treatments spaced two to four weeks apart.
CoolSculpting® – Fat Reduction
The CoolSculpting® procedure is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to shape what you see without surgery or downtime. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting, so you’ll look great from every angle. CoolSculpting® is based on the scientific principle that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the overlying skin and surrounding tissues. Dysport®
Dysport is an FDA-approved injection treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles on the forehead. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. However, Dysport can diffuse muscles one to three centimeters from the injection point, while Botox can only reach as far as one centimeter, allowing for results that reach further areas with just a single injection.

FRAXEL®
FRAXEL RE:STORE DUAL is an improvement on the gold standard non-ablative laser FRAXEL. Solta Medical has paired the deep penetrating Erbium fiber laser (1550nm) with the superficial Thulium fiber laser (1927nm). People suffering from pigmentation irregularities have a more effective option for treatment. Fraxel® is proven laser technology that can help reverse the visible effects of aging, naturally helping you look as young as you feel. With Fraxel, change isn’t drastic or scary – it’s you, just younger. Fraxel Is Effective On: Fine lines and wrinkles – like crow’s feet and brow lines. Surface scarring – visibly reduces effects of acne, surgical scars, stretch marks, and other scarring. Pigmentation – minimizing the appearance of age spots and brown spots. Sun damage – helping reduce visible sun damage. Actinic Keratosis (AK) – a common pre-cancerous skin condition.
IPL Facial Vein
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) utilizing the Lumenis One is the most advanced and easiest way to reduce blotchy skin, brown spots, redness and fine lines on the face, neck, chest and arms. It uses a broad range of light waves to target pigmented skin, redness and rosacea. A series of treatments can remove years of damage. Although there can be some flaking of the skin most are able to return to their routine with no down time. Treatments once or twice a year are recommended to maintain results.
JUVÉDERM Voluma® XC
Voluma® XC is an FDA-approved filler formulated specifically to add volume to the cheeks. It provides a subtle, natural enhancement to the mid-face, addressing changes in definition that occur over time. Voluma XC can help restore more youthful contours by plumping up the area that so often loses volume as part of the aging process. By lifting, it can also return a firmer shape to the jaw line. This makes Voluma a great procedure to combine with Ultherapy.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra, Ultra Plus

Kybella ™
Our office in Paradise Valley is now offering a treatment for your double chin! Recently approved by the FDA, Kybella ™ (deoxycholic acid) injection, contours, and improves the appearance of moderate to severe submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin.” Submental fullness can impact a broad range of adults, including both men and women, and can be influenced by several factors such as aging, genetics and weight gain. It is often resistant to diet and exercise alone. According to a survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, nearly as many consumers are bothered by submental fullness (68%) as by lines and wrinkles around the eyes (71%). When injected into subcutaneous fat, Kybella™ causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
Laser Hair Reduction
Clear + Brilliant Pelo is the newest technology for unwanted hair. What makes it different than other lasers is the linear scanning technology with the combination of the contact-cooling device. This causes the laser treatment to be faster and minimizes discomfort. Clear + Brilliant Pelo can be used safely and effectively on all skin types. We do recommend a series of treatments 4 to 8 weeks apart depending on what area we are treating. Our office in Scottsdale is the only office in the state offering this amazing treatment. Because the laser beams used to remove hair target its melanin (pigment), the best candidates have dark hair and light skin. Conversely, those with blond, red, gray or white hair and dark skin are usually not good candidates. Recent technological advances have made laser hair removal for those with dark skin more successful, while techniques for using lasers to effectively remove light-colored hair are being investigated.
Latisse- Eyelash Treatment
Full, natural-looking eyelashes can now be achieved through a prescription treatment called LATISSE®. LATISSE is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a treatment that creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in skin rejuvenation. Microneedling is also known as Epidermal Collagen Induction Therapy, ECIT. Microneedling is generally well tolerated but erythema may be seen after treatment, lasting for 2-3 days. Skin may also feel warm, tight and itchy for a short period of time. With more aggressive microneedling, patients may experience some minimal to moderate scabbing. The micro-injuries close within 60 to 90 Minutes and therefore infections are unlikely. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) may be added to treatment to help with healing and aid in rejuvenation of skin. The procedure is well tolerated and well accepted by most patients, is cost-effective, can be done on all skin types.

PRP Hair Restoration
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a revolutionary treatment with the potential to regenerate hair growth. PRP is blood drawn from the patient then platelets are concentrated by centrifuging. These concentrated platelets contain proteins and growth factors which help increase circulation to the hair follicles, stimulate the follicles to grow, and even thicken the hair shaft. It is believed that the introduction of platelets and white blood cells through platelet rich plasma can actually stimulate the growth of follicles, thereby has the potential to reverse hair miniaturization seen in androgenetic alopecia and even preventing hair loss.
Peels
We offer 3 different peels: Rejuvenize, Vitalize and Illuminize. These peels are designed to enhance the skin’s appearance with minimal downtime or discomfort. With a peel, you will notice an improvement in your skin’s tone and texture. Fine lines lessen and a healthier more youthful skin appears. Those who have sun damaged, aging, blemish prone skin, hyperpigmentation, melasma or poor skin quality will benefit most from peels. For optimal results, it is recommended that peels be done about every 6 weeks.
Restylane® / Perlane®
Restylane® can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years.
Restylane® Defyne
Crafted with XpresHAn Technology™, Restylane® Defyne helps smooth out deep laugh lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines). Using innovative cross-linking technology, Restylane Defyne is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is able to help restore a more youthful, natural-looking appearance, while helping you maintain your natural expressions.
