Critical: Professionalism, QualityI do not recommend this salon or stylist Madison Wright. I visited this salon on 10/8/2021. I’ve been getting blonde highlights with a root tap for years. I like a bright blonde look (but not platinum blonde) with dimension so I trade off doing partial & full highlights. I recently moved & booked a partial highlight & cut with Madison Wright. I arrived with multiple photos of my previous highlights, photos of the highlights on models, & the cut I was requesting which was the same cut I had but a few inches shorter. She showed me a picture of her work & I said yes please copy that. What my hair ended up looking like was nothing like we communicated about.In all my years of getting partial highlights I’ve always had the stylist highlight the front & top section of my hair as well as a small section around my neck. This way, when you pull your hair up the highlights look seamless all the way around. This is important for a seamless look especially in a hot climate where one would most likely wear their hair up frequently. Madison did not do this; I thought this was industry standard. While highlighting, she dropped a giant dollop of bleach on my hair & quickly tried to fix her mistake before I noticed. When she did my root tap, she tapped the dye on & brushed it through my hair basically erasing any of the highlights she just did. She also got hair dye all over the sides of my mask. When I was walking back to the chair, this is when I initially noticed my hair looked off. I had splotchy brassy blonde pieces in the front with huge dark roots & a harsh blonde line from where she brushed down all of the root tap. I wanted to see what it looked like dried though. While she was drying my hair, I could tell how horrible the work was. I went from a bright blonde with a layered haircut to a brassy blonde with an all uneven barely layered haircut. I was so upset. In addition, I could tell my hair was unbelievably brittle & dry. Every other time I’ve gotten highlights my hair has always been so silky & smooth after leaving the salon.When asked how I liked the look, I stated I did not like it. Her response was “I don’t understand what you don’t like this, it is exactly what you asked for”. This made me feel so incredibly horrible as a client; like apparently all of this was my fault. She only offered to fix the cut, not the color. Madison did block me so I am unable to message her at all which I do not believe is professional. I have been seeing Allison Folge for almost 10 years because of the quality of service, professionalism, and kind attitude. She did my prom makeup and hair in high school and continues to do beautiful work for me and my mom. We both love coming to her and we will continue coming to her not only for the excellent service but her wonderful personality. I would highly recommend her!

Allison is always so patient with me, letting me show her dozens of Pinterest posts, Google Images, etc. She always helps rationalize the color shift process from the current color to the next and explains how the fade out will look. I’ve never been to a stylist before that prepares for at home care too by having the correct color of color conditioner for the color we’ve chosen. My hair is the healthiest its been in years since I started going to Allison.The other ladies in the salon are also always very welcoming and friendly to talk with. Allison is always so patient with me, letting me show her dozens of Pinterest posts, Google Images, etc. She always helps rationalize the color shift process from the current color to the next and explains how the fade out will look. I’ve never been to a stylist before that prepares for at home care too by having the correct color of color conditioner for the color we’ve chosen.
