Whether I’m just getting a standard manicure or looking for a design, I have never been disappointed by Sam and his team. They created the perfect set of engagement nails, and I always get compliments after coming from the salon, which is a testament to the care and dedication that everyone here puts in. I’ve had so many bad experiences at various nail salons in the past that don’t know what they’re doing. This nail salon blows all of them out of the water. I will never go to another nail salon ever again! They are so accommodating and make sure they do exactly what you ask for. Sam exceeded expectations with my nail request! He was also so personable and I had great conversation with him during my appointment. He took me as soon as I walked in and I expected to be there much longer because I was getting a full set but it was the fastest apt I’ve had. I won’t go anywhere other than V&V nails & I’d recommend them to anyone.

We only get to go out maybe twice a year to have a beauty day for us girls! I was looking for a place for my daughter’s and I to get our nails done. I found V & V nails during a Google search not to far from home. Read some mixed reviews. Saw some great looking nail photos on their website. I called and made an appointment for the three of us, 2 basic manicures with gel polish and 1 full acrylic with gel polish with a design. We were able to get in the next day. Great! Upon our arrival most of the nail techs had just begun with other clients, while one was just finishing up. No problem a small wait. I then noticed signs that said they are “CASH ONLY.” There was nothing on their website that mentions that. How convenient that there’s an machine inside. Ok not a deal breaker, I can do that. I look at the price list on the wall and factored out the cost for the 3 of us $115, that includes the design on 2 nails for one daughter and decals on 2 nails for my other daughter. For the most part our basic manicures were ok other than being cut twice drawing a Lil blood. Our nails did look great!! As we were waiting on my other daughter getting her acrylics a lady from downstairs grabbed my youngest by her arm mumbled something, as I stood up the other ladies said eyebrow threading she going downstairs. and out the door they went. I did read that on the website and remembered it wasn’t a lot of money plus it couldn’t be that much for a 12 year old and we’re out to have a beauty day. After about 7-8 minutes I asked what my bill was so I could pay & go check on my daughter. I brought up my calculator on my phone and typed out the prices according to the price list. She says no! She grabbed her calculator and suddenly the cost went from $115 to $171. Charging me $80 for a full set of acrylics and one design on 2 fingers(my daughter is 4’11” her hands are tiny) plus another $30 for both my daughter’s threading for a total of $201 plus tips! Did not expect that cost at all. All I had on me was $230!! Remember I have one daughter getting threaded and my other daughter was still in process with her nails being super excited (she’s developmentally delayed) I didn’t want to disappoint her. So i paid then told her we’d meet downstairs. I get downstairs, my daughter & the lady are coming out of the door. I barely get I paid upstairs for both of them, they said it was $12 each so I gave them $15 for her & another $15 for her sister out of my mouth when the lady says oh no not $12 it’s $30 for this one! She goes on to say she told my daughter it was $30 and my daughter says ok so she cleaned up her eyebrows and her upper lip. I shake my head & I’m looking at this lady like are you kidding me you shouldn’t be talking to a kid you should talk to their parent!!!! I look through my wallet. I don’t have anymore money. She asks me if I have Venmo I don’t and then I say this means her sister can’t get hers done too. At that point I had to walk away. Then my 12 year old says mom she didn’t say that to me. I send her back in to check on her sister. She comes back out tells me the lady told her it was all set & that her sister was getting her eyebrows done. When my oldest came out you could barely see her eyebrows and she has dark hair! Her eyebrows are so thin & tiny, they belong on a 5 year olds face!!!
