I won’t be returning here and I’d recommend you to go elsewhere as well. I got a powder dip at this place done on a Sunday afternoon late September. It was super crowded and the person was rushing through the entire process. She sanded my nails so much down that they were hurting for 3 days after the manicure. The person doing my nails also cut into my cuticles using the drill, which made it bleed. At the register, I had to ask myself if she could please remove the nail polish that mistakenly had gotten onto the skin of my fingers. The result of the manicure itself was also very moderate with mistakes here and there.

So incredibly pleased with my gel manicure! After moving to newton a few weeks ago I went through the rough phase of finding a great nail salon. A couple of terrible manicures at other salons later I am so happy I found V-luxe. They were clean and so nice. I did not feel rushed at all during my manicure and Anne did such a great job! If you are new to the area or looking for a new place I highly suggest V-luxe!

The wait here can be unbearable. They take every client that walks through the doors, regardless if they have an appointment or not. Those that have booked in advance have must wait as long as the walk ins for the next available specialist. I’ve waited for over 45 minutes on multiple occasions when I have been promptly on time to my appointment. The quality of treatment is notable however, but only go if you have a sufficient amount of free time.

Do NOT come to this salon. After confirming with me 3 separate times that they do acrylic hard gel manicures and can add length using the gel – not using acrylic tips I made an appointment. To the extent that I asked if they use the sticker mold to confirm that they knew what I was talking about the woman on the phone shouted “I don’t have time to go over the process. We know what you’re talking about and we know how to do it”. When I arrived this morning for my appointment I confirmed again ‘acrylic hard gel manicure, no acrylic tips’ they started filing my nails and then cut them (this is not part of the process, acrylic hard gel is a coating for already long nails) and then pulled the acrylic tips set out. I then explained for the 5th time thats not what I asked for they said they need to put an acrylic tip on to add length. They just wanted to get me in as a customer and lied about their knowledge. To their surprise I walked out of the salon because I was not going to pay for something I did not want. Not only did I waste my time and it disrupted my entire morning, but I had to then find another salon that could do the type of manicure that I was looking for.
