I have been coming to this salon for 7 years. The stylists are all wonderful. They have been so supportive as I made the decision to transition to grey. They helped guide me through the process with beautiful highlights and lowlights mingled with the natural. They expertly cut above the demarcation line to complete the new me. Just had an appointment done by Melodie. She was absolutely amazing, super personable and very kind. She made sure to take the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and led a great conversation throughout the process which kept my mind busy (I definitely needed that at the time). I went to Urbane Salon in Guilford today for the first time since March. Everyone was very professional, especially with their COVID protocol, and I felt very safe. Melodie did my nails, and as always, she did a fabulous job! I highly recommend Urbane for their professionalism, talent, and special care during these uncertain times.

Super clean, and the girls were very nice but paid $270 for something I didn’t want. Granted the girl worked really hard and in detail but didn’t get what I wanted. Also they do not know how to work with long curly hair. I told them how my hair was over the phone and the poor girl didn’t have enough time and rushed me leaving my hair frizzy. Would recommend for people with straight or slightly wavy hair. Do not recommend at all for girls with curly hair.

Everyone at Urbane is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about all aspects of hair styling. I’ve been going to Urbane since they opened and have followed Laura around since she first began her career. With my crazy work schedule, I just call up at random times and ask who is available to do my color because I trust everyone there. They all take the time to listen and to make you feel special.

Frustrated with the roots showing so quickly on my highlighted hair (from a different salon)–literally within 3 weeks of spending over $200–I decided to let my hair go back to its natural color to see what I had. Surprisingly I found I still had the sandy brown over most of my head, but a swath of a lot of grey on one side in the front. I knew I wanted to go back to coloring my hair but was unsure whether to go blonde or brown. I began noticing women’s hair color and would often ask those whose color I really liked if they would mind sharing where they got theirs done. Invariably, it was at Urbane. When I went for the initial consult, Laura was most patient in helping me decide what was right for me. She listened carefully and suggested that with so much grey tending to show up in the front of my hair that blonde would likely show the least regrowth. She does a duo process of foiling and coloring. I have been thrilled ever since and often have women complimenting me on the color. Additionally, her staff is most kind and gracious. I cannot recommend them highly enough! You won’t be disappointed!
