I’m a graphic design major and I have had some pretty unconventional hair style requests and every single time Jennifer has come through (these requests include micro bangs, extremely asymmetrical cuts, half natural half orange hair, etc). I have a vision, she makes it happen. I would never dream of going to a different stylist. I feel like I’m with a good friend every time I go back to the salon. It’s a treat! I’ve been going to Urban Retreat for a few months now to get my roots and highlights/lowlights done so I think I’ve been about three times now. I’m naturally a dark brunette and Chelsea has done an awesome job getting my hair exactly where I want it to be without damaging it. (It’s a lighter blonde w/ highlights & lowlights.) She is very patient with my high maintenance hair & doesn’t try to nickel and dime me like so many other hairdressers do, especially as my hair is very thick and takes a long time to do. She also cuts and styles it and I’m really happy with the whole package. She’s very friendly, sweet and professional. It’s a laid back & pleasant place to get your hair done. If you want to get it done right for a good price and with a good attitude, give this place a try. Chelsea comes highly recommended.

I came here to cut my hair 3 times. The third time the lady cut my fridge too short and uneven that as a normal person, you can notice that easily. I asked her to fix a little bit and straighten my fridge. She did but she didnt style my hair at all after that. I always got styled before but not my 3rd time. I ended up having a really bad hair cut 🙁

Katie Ferrell is super! Cut and color awesome! I have extremely thick and wavy hair and it is difficult to find a stylist who can give a cut that looks good beyond a week. Katie accomplished it on the first try.

I immediately fell in love with this salon. It smells like my favorite Aveda perfume, the artwork they have on their walls I have on mine too. Soft Christmas lights make a subtle glow and the environment was so relaxing. I wasn’t thrilled with my haircut but I chalk that up to always having the same stylist so he automatically knows what I like. I have an appt in a couple days. Wish me lluck!
