I arrived 3-4minutes prior to my massage (because there is a hair salon with the same name a block down so it was confusing where to go). When I arrived a woman was chit-chatting with the only employee in the front area. I wasn’t able to check in until after my scheduled massage time due to the chatting. Then was escorted back and a women came to greet me and bring me to the room. She said for a 30minute massage it would be targeted to a specific area (totally expected this). I told her to focus on my neck and shoulders. However during the massage she spent 50% of the time on my lower back and VERY little time on my neck or shoulders — extremely disappointing. Honestly my mom could have provided me with a massage of equal quality for free. I was face down the entire time which is shocking as every other massage I’ve ever had has asked me to turn over to target other areas. The massage was a total of 20minutes even though I paid for a 30 minute massage.

The spa is quaint with a modern design. I could hear people talking the hallway outside my massage, so it wasn’t as tranquil as most spas. We weren’t invited to change into robs upon arrival, which I think they typical do. The waiting space in the back is cramped. Four of us were there and it felt like we were on top of each other. Massage was itself was nice, but inexperienced. perhaps just wasn’t my style. Felt more like a massage envy for triple the cost.
