Scheduled a 11:15 appointment on my birthday, confirmed and everything. We get to the location 20 minutes early and it’s closed, even though the hours are listed on the website as 9 am – 9 pm.

I had a great experience floating. It was very relaxing and calming. It was definitely worth trying but It is not for everyone. The water is so salty that you cannot sink, but getting it in your eyes is excruciating so make sure you know a out the spray bottle and don’t put your face in the water. It took me about 15-20 min to get over the clostrophobia and relax, but it by the end of my hour it was hard to get out. When that light came on I was so disoriented that I had to slowly get out. I don’t think I believe in a lot of the benefits they claim, the salt dries you out and I’m skeptical that it is more than just quiet time in a tank. That being said I would do it again but probably only if I was sore or stressed and just wanted some quiet time. Not sure I would sign up for a monthly membership. But it was definitely a new and interesting experience well worth trying. But this is not for everyone. I suggest you go to the place and check out the pods and have someone give a walkthrough. Really different experience than I expected.

Overall it was a good time, was my first time ever an isolation tank, so I don’t have much to compare it to. I definitely should have double checked my hands for cuts before I got in, that took about fifteen minutes for them to stop hurting/distracting me. I might’ve have had too much caffeine as well, I finally started to relax at the last 10 minutes and started really to enjoy the experience, so I know I’ll have to go another time or two to get the full experience. It was a pretty clean place, seemed like a quality machine. Can’t say if it was worth the 90$ until I try another time relaxed and get the full experience.

My first time trying this as a relaxation technique. I was super excited because I’ve been under so much stress and I’ve heard about it from friends. The customer service was excellent!! The woman at the desk took me to my room and went through every step with me. Excellent. The experience was a little different then I thought it would be. It wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be and the little light that came through the opening around the lid made it more difficult to really feel the isolation. However, I would be willing to try it again.

There was not great ventilation in the room or in the pod and the humidity drips on you while floating (which is not usually an issue ) . There was a fair amount of mold /Mildew in the pod which made breathing even harder in the high humidity. The light in the room didn’t automatically turn off which was uncomfortable . The pods also has chlorine which isn’t typical and made for a strong odor and my hair hair didn’t appreciate it . Overall it was not a relaxing experience and was much more costly than some other float places with much high quality. Also the rooms are now well sound proofed and the front desk phone was on full volume, and you could hear the pod next door .

Two stars for cleanliness. But that’s really all I can give them. The whole experience seems cheap but the price tag was most certainly not. I was there on a “first timer” coupon that knocked $30 off from the astounding $89 price of a single float. The tubs are less than glamorous and shows signs of age and wear. Additionally, for a guy that is just below 6’, I felt that I was already broaching being too big for the provided experience. The pods should definitely be larger and deeper. Meanwhile the provided amenities such as the soap and the singular small body towel are cheap quality. If this was $20, heck even $30 I’d say go for it. But almost NINETY?! I can get full body hour long massages from trained professionals at cheaper rates and not worry about getting highly concentrated salt water in my eyes. I’ll take my money elsewhere and I highly recommend everyone else that reads this do the same.

Really awesome place. I’m only removing 1 star because I would _really_ like to have a better way to play my own music through their speakers. I would be willing to give them my (locked) phone or an SD card, or really if they had a simple audio plug on the outside of the pod, that would be GREAT!

Ive been coming to Urban Float for years now. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Floating is an amazing experience. You just lay there and enjoy the benefits of what feels like a minor chiropractic adjustment, a minor massage and mental clarity. It took me 3 floats to adjust to the sensation of floating before I became calm enough to reap the benefits, so don’t quit after your first experience

Warning! Do not get the membership online. For some reason they send you all the agreements after you pay but have ridiculous agreements like continuing to charge you after canceling. Easy way to scam people out of hundreds of dollars. But here is what happened.. it wasn’t too bad for the first experience although it was hard keeping still and trying to relax and what bothered me more was the drying out of my skin even after I put in lotion. The ride home my skin was itchy and irritated. Even though the first time wasn’t exactly what I expected I decided to try out a membership in hopes to get some of the relaxing benefits but I decided to bringing my own body lotions and other things in hopes it would go better. The second time I booked a pod and I arrived showered and jumped in the pod. I sat for a few minutes trying to get comfortable but the salt was so intense even in the air so it was hurting my eyes and they were becoming watery and itchy and then my skin started to get irritated once again so I ended it 10-15 minutes into my reserved hour. I decided to end my membership because after two experiences of discomfort I felt like it wouldn’t be worth it. When canceling I was told they would still be billing me for an extra month but the cashier said that it was a part of the agreement. I did not say that when I payed for the membership online but now I payed 200 for another month which I can’t use.
