This is a story of how I was BUTCHERED by Masha at Urban Bay Salon. Last Sunday I went in for a haircut. I had to wait 15 minutes no big deal. The salon is a half barbershop half salon. I get my hair washed everything is fine. I get in the chair and say that I want long layers. Well my fellow yelpers I did not get long layers. What I received was 2 layers, one that was shoulder length and one that was 3 inches below my shoulders. No blending nothing. And on top of it the girl was going back and forth cutting my hair and doing another girls color. Maybe she was rushing me and wasn’t paying attention? Maybe she is an awful hairstylist? Maybe she needs glasses? I don’t know. What I do know is that I will never go back, and will warn anyone who thinks about making a visit to urban bay salon. I have gotten a better haircut and the Paul Mitchell school on new Dorp lane! Below I have attached pictures, before I got the cut (Green shirt) from Masha, and after. BEWARE. I also plan on going back to speak to the manager and see what they can do for me. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Great barber shop the staff is always friendly and they treat you like family. Barbers are versatile and cut your hair to perfection. Excellent customer service and the barbers cut all types of styles. I Highly recommended this place. They also give my kids amazing haircuts, where most places on the island take advantage as a quick money grab when it comes to children’s haircuts. Thank you guys keep up the great work.

Highly recommend! I have searched for years trying to find a great salon on Staten Island and I am so happy I finally found one! The employees are wonderful and attentive, the atmosphere is welcoming, and most importantly the haircuts are always on point! I typically go to Petrit, but all the barbers and hair dressers are very professional and everyone comes out looking great! Make this your go to salon!!!

Can’t believe I found this amazing barbershop! When I walked in I was greeted with a complimentary shot of espresso, which is great for me because I tend to nod out during my haircuts. Aside from that, the shop was very elegant and upscale. I didn’t wait long, my haircut came out perfect and the price was completely affordable! Urban Bay Salon is my new go to place on Staten Island.

Did a random google search for a barber shop today near me that can give my toddler son a decent hair cut. Found this place and had a great experience! The guy up front (Adi?) cut my sons hair exactly as I showed him in a photo. Very pleasant. Very happy with the place. My son was entertained with the lollipop they gave him. Will return….
