Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWhat a great find! First of all, you DO NOT need to be a member of the NAC to visit this salon, which I initially thought you did, so my confusion had me not try this place for months which was my loss. It’s easy to find as it’s located right behind the front desk of the gym. Everyone at the salon was warm and friendly, which was a nice change of pace to the usual coldness/aloofness I usually find at other places. I was paired with Bert for my cut and he did an amazing job. He took his time to listen to what I wanted and constantly checked in to make sure I was happy with how the cut was going. He gave suggestions and styled my hair different to what I usually do, and I’m glad he did as my hair looks/feels fresher and more up-to-date than it used to. This was honestly the best haircut I’ve had in years and the price can’t be beat for what you get. The only downside to this place is that it’s currently under construction, but still very clean and nice, and will just be that much better once it’s all complete.What a great find! It’s easy to find as it’s located right behind the front desk of the gym. After moving to NEWTOWN from NYC I really struggled to find the right salon and hair Stylist. After trying 4 places in town, I felt right at home when I met Bert. His professionalism and attention to detail and energy really is a breath of fresh air. I trust him for all my future hair needs and will be going in next week for highlights as his work on men and women was on par with salons that charge over $700. He truly is a gem. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I recently joined the NAC and tried Urban Allure for the 1st time. It was a great experience being able to utilize the onsite kids club while getting my highlights done. My stylist did a great job, my color was perfect and she made me feel right at home. I will continue using this salon as my go to. Thank you!

I used this salon for my bridesmaids and family to get our nails done before my wedding. Kim was able to find us all appointments on short notice and was able to have everyone treated together. All the technicians were friendly and did a fantastic job. The salon is a relaxing and fun environment. If I lived closer to the area, I would use the salon for nails and other beauty services!

I’m sorry but I will never come back here and I really hope that this review will deter anyone from coming in the future. I got my hair cut by a gentleman, I don’t want to say any names because Im only speaking on my experience. Also, before I forget for anyone who has not been to this salon it is located inside of the NAC center. I walked in with a lot of layers and didn’t really want to lose my length by much. I sat down and told the man that I wanted to get as close to possible to a blunt cut without going to my shortest layer. He told me no he didn’t think that would look good and that he wouldn’t cut it like that. I showed him a picture that I felt I could obtain the haircut of and he completely shot me down. He told me he would do something else for me, I don’t remember the term he called it. Anyways, after he cut it I told him I want my hair to be straightened because I have naturally curly hair and I never straighten it. He said no let’s do a loose wave. He blow dried it into a curly flippy mess. I asked for volume on the top and he ignored me. I’ve never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable during a haircut in my life. I didn’t speak up because I was embarrassed and nervous to say anything. I just wanted to leave. He showed me my hair and told me to book the next appointment and he was very pushy about it. I booked one anyway knowing I would never be back. My boyfriend picked me up and asked if I had even gotten my haircut. He asked me if I liked it and I started crying because my hair looked like a mullet after getting it cut at this salon! He called the salon for me and I spoke with the manager who was extremely sweet and reassured me not to be embarrassed and if I wanted I could come back and have her cut it. But at that point, I was over it and wanted my $70 back. She was completely understanding and very sweet about the entire situation which I’m so grateful for, and really appreciated her being so kind. I can’t speak for the entire salon, but I just wouldn’t ever go back there again feeling as hopeful as I had when I first stepped foot in there. I will never come back to this salon.

I belong to the club but have never used the salon/spa for any services. I love the health club and it’s amenities and I assumed the salon would be a perfect place to have a mani/pedi for my wedding. They were nice enough to accommodate an appointment despite their busy schedule. I opted for a gel mani and regular pedi. I had high expectations because of previous reviews I have read so I went in with excitement.

I love all the nail techs, and hair girls here. They are all so good & friendly. What i like most is that i can workout, get my nails & hair done, while my child goes to the kids club & plays–can’t find that anywhere! the whole place works for me!
