Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueBeen going to Uptown Male for MONTHS now; they are fantastic. I get my head shaved once a week and Shelby makes sure that everything is clean and even and has taken to making sure that I won’t have any razor burn afterward (if you shave your own head and I did for quite some time, you really appreciate the difference). I also get regular manicures and Malinda keeps them short and shiny, they sparkle. Been going to Uptown Male for MONTHS now; they are fantastic. I get my head shaved once a week and Shelby makes sure that everything is clean and even and has taken to making sure that I won’t have any razor burn afterward (if you shave your own head and I did for quite some time, you really appreciate the difference). I was a little nervous to say the least. That all went away quickly when I was greeted by Shelby and Krystal. That facility is very nice with a masculine feel.They are ready for you to relax with your choice on beverage and several with big screen TVs throughout so you can keep up with our favorite news, business report or sports. The spa is clean and well appointed. My first pedicure was just that, my first. I can assure you I will return routinely for the deluxe pedicure and the relaxation and friendly conversation with the staff. Today was my first visit to Uptown Male Spa. I had never been to a spa before, nor had I ever had a pedicure. I was a little nervous to say the least. That all went away quickly when I was greeted by Shelby and Krystal. I have been growing it out to just over a few inches long without much upkeep. She started by asking what I liked about my beard, if I had any trouble areas or issues with it, and what I wanted it to look like. She started working and getting it into a great shape. During the cut Shelby asked about how I maintained it (oil, balm, wax, soap, etc.) and gave suggestions to keep it healthy. I let her work and took advice about a few areas to clean up to give it a little more definition. Several people noticed afterwards and said it looked great. And a bonus is that it has been easier to comb and get looking good each morning.If you want someone you trust to take care of your beard, I can highly recommend Shelby.And they do more than just beards, that’s just what I had and can speak on. The entire shop is comfortable and professional. The whole experience was very classy. The owner, Krystal, takes pride in what she and her staff do there.
