My husband and my 3 year old have been coming here for awhile now to get their haircuts and I honestly thought we were starting to build a good relationship with Maggie, since we come just about every 2-3 weeks; well today I brought my 3 year old son to her once again, he never gives her trouble sits right in her chair and does as she says, today it happened that he coughed once, as we all know is allergy season so anyway she tells me she doesn’t want him coughing in her face as he may have COVID since a lot of her clients got COVID apparently; first of all so wrong for wishing that upon my son, I told her he didn’t have anything as he just had a check up at the doctor this week and that It’s just allergies, she says well I don’t want him coughing in my face once again but very rudely and that she wasn’t going to service him just because he coughed once, yet again she’s okay with her smokers cough but when my son coughs once she wants to make a huge deal about it.

Growing up in a smaller town, going to the barber shop used to be more than just getting my haircut. It was a way for everyone to catch up with each other’s lives and solve all of the world’s problems in a 20 minute cut. Being in Valdosta for almost 20 years, I have struggled to find something like this. Mainly because of all of the corporate places out there where the staff changes from one visit to the next; it was hard to make a connection.
