Up In Arms Tattoos was founded in 2009 in the Pittsburgh area. Fundamentally based on exemplary customer service and solid tattoo work, we strive to give our clients a different experience when they come to our shop. Unlike most shops we treat people the way we would like to be treated, with kindness. At UIA we won’t write you off or tell you your idea isn’t a good one. We work closely with our client’s to come up with something that makes you happy. Up In Arms is primarily a custom tattoo shop, but we love to do walk-ins and anything you can think up. We employ prestigious sanitary conditions and stay on top of recent changes in the industry. All of our artists and piercers are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to this profession.

I absolutely love going here. Everyone is so friendly and treats you like they’ve known you for a long time. I’ve gotten tattooed by everyone except one artist and all of my tattoos are amazing. Zack always makes time to answer my questions about piercings and make me super comfortable when getting an uncomfortable piercing. My daughter has been going to see Dawn for eyebrows for nearly 10 years. She’s the only person my daughter trusts to do her eyebrows, and quite frankly she’s the only person I’d trust to do mine. As soon as I heard that she was cosmetic tattooing brows, I immediately sent her a message so I could get mine done. She did an amazing job on my brows. Mine have never been full and I was missing the first half on both. Now, they look absolutely terrific and I can finally say I have eyebrows. Not only is Dawn great with eyebrows, she’s a great person too, as she is kind, personable, and really cares about her clients. I would recommend Dawn to absolutely everyone.”

I followed Audrey here and it was my first time here at this shop. Everyone was cool, great tunes, and convos all around. Place was clean and spacious. You know how some tattoo joints you go into and everyone’s all quiet and not talking? Thats NOT this place. Most importantly,, Mario and his buddy came out friggin’ awesome!

I highly recommend Up In Arms tattoo! Woody did my piece and was awesome to work with. He took my initial concept and built upon it to create an awesome piece of work that I am proud to have for the rest of my life! The experience during my all-day session was exceptional. The shop is clean, comfortable, and very customer friendly for long sessions due to TVs, water, and great music! Woody is very detailed and puts tons of energy and creativity into his work. Thanks Woody for such a great tattoo and experience. I will be back! Dawn works the front desk and was an amazing person to spend the day with during my session. She took photos for me during various stages of the tattoo and I am so happy that she did this as it is awesome to look back on the tattoo build. Audrey so far has done both of my only 2 tattoos and I will keep going to her and other artists at Up in Arms for all of my tattoos so long as I am in the Pittsburgh area.
