Went for a haircut on a weekday afternoon, got immediately seated, with Cesar. Good haircut, trim on sides and clip at top. Three barbers then, so many options, good amount of parking.

Worst place ever. Walked in with my 2 boys. Parked sat in the lot no one walked in b4 I did. Went in sat down I greeted em no one acknowledged. Sat there waited n waited several folks walked in and was attended to. Barbers appointed guess to other fellow barbers. Still I waited. A gentleman walked in stated that he called 10 mis prior n was attended too right away. Here I am over 30 minutes in seated with my kids awaiting my turn. Barbers just sitting around. I left after feeling disrespect, disgusted and humiliated. I could have simply be told that my kids are not welcome in the place of business.

Cool place unlike the other noisy ones that I have seen. Sophea was straight to the work and kept me comfortable talking while remaining focused on her work. The haircut was over in a jiffy! I didn’t feel anything – no itching, no burns, no cuts – just shows how skilled she is in her job. If you are looking for a hair job in the College Park area, this is your place.

I grew up during a time when the ritual of going to the barbershop meant you were going to learn, talk with, debate with, and be around positive people (men).

First time going in to this shop. The reviews online seemed somewhat promising. The shop was welcoming and allowed me to get a haircut even though I didn’t have an appointment. However they sent me over to a barber who was polite enough to stop eating his lunch to attend me. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he still seemed confused about it so we went over the cut for about 10 minutes for a simple fade and a little cut from the top. He proceeds to cut but he went off and did something completely different than what we discussed for 10 minutes. It’s almost as if he made a mistake and was trying to fix it for an hour and half. I sat in that seat for an hour and a half! It would have been longer if I allowed him to try to shape up my beard. He already messed up my haircut and could not sit there for another 30 minutes to get my beard messed up too. All the other barbers around me were doing fantastic though, I saw 4 people get great haircuts while I was getting botched. The barber was polite however, he just didn’t know what he was doing. Worst part was that because he was nice I was still going to pay him for at least trying. They do not accept card and all I had was 40 bucks. The cut cost 25 but they didn’t have change, which for a business made no sense, so they told me to go to the gas station to get change. I no longer wanted to waste my time and in there so I lost 40 dollars. I give them a 1 star for trying but wasting my time and being inexperienced and not being prepared with change.

First Stepped in this place in 2004, it’s a University of Maryland institution. Eversince when in the area it’s my spot for a cut. There is an eclectic team of Barbers..that can cut all types of hair, I usually go to Evans or Kwame, but work there..means you have mastered your craft.
