I got my hair braided for the first time at Unity Braids. I came in to get small knot less braids by Candace. Not only was she gentle and professional my hair came out so cute! Alexis helped braid my hair and I was out of the chair in no time. I highly recommend these two stylists. Marcus is another stylist at the shop and he was doing another clients wig while I was there. The wig looked so good I’m contemplating getting a wig next time I need my hair done. I will definitely becoming back to this salon!!!

I got my knotless box braids done here about 2 weeks ago. When I first saw them I thought they looked great, but noticed some issues later. The water sealing did not work at all and I ended up having to rubber band all of them myself. Stella only braided the top half while another girl finished. This would have been fine, but some braids were braided over while others were under, so they would not lay flat. Many of the braids were not tight enough either, so they started to unravel after a couple of days. I ended up having to take the braids out and wasted over $200 for a hairstyle that should have at least lasted a month.

Don’t think twice, book an appointment here. I had my hair done by Candace. I got a mohawk with braids out in the middle, and it turned out amazing. I’ve had complaints everywhere I’ve gone. If you want braids this is the place to go. She’s quick, and the prices are fair. Unlike a lot of other places here. And it was a very friendly atmosphere. The convenience of online booking is great too.

Everyone at this shop is highly talented and I would recommend anyone, however I must give a few shouts out to the people I see most. Candace was the first person who did my hair when I moved here. She is talented, quick and makes you feel welcomed, it’s a true Candy Shop experience, you’ll be back for more. Stella will have your braids looking fierce. She is fast and can do any style or look imaginable. If you want professionalism, beauty and efficiency, she’s your girl. Dari is the head of this black and women-owned business. She truly lives up to the name of Unity and makes sure everyone feels valued. The shop is clean, the atmosphere is fun and the stylists are Amazing. You must get your hair washed by Marcus and ask him to show you some of his dance moves. He is genuine, funny and is the Weave King. Also Alexis may be the fastest braider I have ever seen, always recognizable by her long eyelashes and like a bat of her eye, will have you done in no time! Whether you are just passing through town, looking for a regular hair routine or just need your hair done for a special occasion, I implore you to try Unity Braids & Beauty and you will never need to go anywhere else!

Absolutely unprofessional! I used the site to schedule and paid my deposit. The stylist called to let me know that she doesn’t do knotless braids anymore and that she’d already told her manager that the site needed to be updated. She offered to get me rescheduled to another stylist for the same date and time. This morning I get up to prep my hair, already hired a sitter and took the day off of work only to have the second stylist text and tell me that they aren’t sure how I was scheduled but they don’t work mornings ! Your BOSS supposedly scheduled me ! Needless to say I won’t be don’t business here and wholeheartedly advise others to avoid as well. I have a vacation planned and now I’ll be going without my hair done due to the poor scheduling techniques of this establishment. Thank you very much for your “service”.
