I’ll start by saying I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year and was a part of their membership program, meaning I paid monthly and had standing appointments. I was a little annoyed when they ended the program really without any warning, but the services have always been great, pricing decent, and I like the technicians (shout-out Gabi!) so I was willing to pay slightly more to continue getting that service. However, since they have moved to the one location on Cantrell (and changed management perhaps?), it has become IMPOSSIBLE to make an appointment. The app does not allow me to schedule, so I have been calling weekly for several months to try and get the “next available”. The woman who answers always takes my name and number and promises to call me back, and never does. Yesterday I tried to explain this to a different woman who answered, who said it looks like they are booked through September (ridiculous). But okay, fine, schedule me for September just so I can get back on the list! What does she say? “I’ll have to take a look and call you back.” And, of course, never does. I used to love this place but customer service has really gone downhill since Jan/Feb and I’m disappointed they are ignoring even long-time patrons. I managed to find four salons in LR with availability this week, so I probably won’t be returning to Unique Threading.

Be prepared that you won’t be helped at your appointment time. You will probably need to block out an hour and a half for just a quick thread that should take 15-20 min. There is no priority for people who have appointments. Had an appointment at 1:15 and was early! No one was at the front and Salma apparently booked people on her lunch break. She came out at 1:20 and I made it very clear I had an appointment at 2:00. You would think that 45 minutes would have been plenty of time to get in and out. Well, Salma took the 1:30 did her service before mine. It was not until 1:40 that I was serviced and she was rude when I asked why I wasn’t serviced at my time. I completely understand running behind, but servicing someone with an appointment for a later time before mine is a little obnoxious. This used to be my go to place for threading and facials. It’s so sad to see what used to be so great prioritize the amount of clients they can take in over people who made appointments over a month in advance.

Salma is the best! She is now running the place (as far as I can tell) by herself & while that may mean you wait a little longer for your service(s), she always takes time to let you know what’s going on. I’ve been going for a while now & while my appointment may last a little longer than it used to; Salma is worth the wait!

I have been trying to get my deposit back for weeks for a service I cancelled because my normal wax girl wasn’t there. They’ve been giving me the run around to email this person or the person who can’t authorize the refund isn’t there, & saying they can only give me in store credit. YOURE GOING TO GIVE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK BEST BELIEVE

Unique threading WAS amazing! I made an appointment with a specific person, show up just to be told the lady i requested called in sick & they forgot to inform me! (I even came during the ice storm) BUT STILL CHARGED MY CARD $15! Requested a refund multiple times, but nothing! I’ve been using unique threading for years, even after Sonya leaving, but now I will never return!

Very considerate and polite and professional. She also takes health and safety precautions very seriously. I plan to continue using this service. She did a great job on my eyebrows, which says a lot because I had not had my brows done for at least a year since lock down lol! My brows were looking awful but she cleaned them up really nicely!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI’d like to start by saying that Mrs. Selma is currently the only person working at this location and she is extremely busy.Ive been coming to Mrs. Selma for 2+ years. She has always been so gracious and prompt with rescheduling if needed. She’s personable l, professional, reliable and a hard worker!Mrs. Selma usually has the doors locked for her safety and while with clients / numerous walk-ins. I feel that if someone does a walk-in, they should have to wait and do so politely. Don’t write a bad review based on your walk-in, just go somewhere else. Please keep in mind to be KIND because this hardworking lady is doing her best, as it’s just her working Wednesday – Saturday I believe. She also has a family, another location, children, church, etc. She wants to please everyone and get everyone in, but she is extremely busy right now. So, if you’re unhappy with your service I’d suggest telling her, kindly, as she will listen and do her best to provide you with a pleasant service an experience.Best,Lily B-P. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI have been going to Unique Threading for my Brazilian wax for several months now. They are very professional and willing to work around my schedule. I love how friendly and kind the staff is. They have also handled the COVID precautions exceptionally well. They use an app for checking in, rescheduling and communication. They have contactless payment and check for temperatures before entry. I feel very safe using their services.I have been going to Unique Threading for my Brazilian wax for several months now. Critical: Professionalism, QualityAt one time there was a young lady there who did an excellent job tinting and threading my eyebrows. The last few times have been disappointing and painful as the older lady who took over my visits does the threading slowly and it really hurts. I’ll never go back after yesterday because she splashed dye all over my new shirt and kimono and they are ruined. Not only that, but the tint didn’t stay on my eyebrows, and my eyebrows are crooked now with one side high and the other side low on the outside corners. It was a waste of money and the time I spent there plus now the cost to replace my clothing. When I called today, the lady offered to take my clothes to the dry cleaners, but of course you can’t remove hair dye from clothing—especially a white shirt and the splashes on the white part of my kimono. I’ll never go back there although I’ve been a client for several years. I want to emphasize that the lady was very nice when I called today, but I’ve lost confidence in the place, and there was a no offer to replace my clothes. She did try yesterday to clean one of the 7 spots off my clothes, but now there’s just a huge black-purple stain which will not come out along with the 6 other permanent dye stains. I also had blotches of dye on my arms I had to clean when I got home. What should have been a pleasant experience with well groomed eyebrows and my clothing the same as it was when I entered the salon, I spent $25 for nothing and am out $50 for my ruined clothing. At one time there was a young lady there who did an excellent job tinting and threading my eyebrows.
