He explained each step just to make sure I was comfortable and was getting exactly what I wished for. My nails are beautiful, my pedicure was amazing. Everyone there is professional, polite and so welcoming.I will go back in 3 weeks, I cannot imagine going anywhere else now. I’m not great at taking photos. Today I went to unique nails, MrT. Took great time and patience to understand exactly what I wanted, shape length and color. He explained each step just to make sure I was comfortable and was getting exactly what I wished for. My nails are beautiful, my pedicure was amazing. Everyone there is professional, polite and so welcoming.

This is my 3rd or 4th time at unique nails! This is the only place I have been that’s absolutely SHOWN OUT on all designs I’ve brought to the table. I had a less than satisfactory experience somewhere down the road, but heard rumors unique wouldn’t let me down. I stopped in on a whim, and I wish I had more pictures of my other sets. I tell everyone to go here now, 5 stars ⭐️

got our nails done here. absolutely in love with the work done and each set is gorgeous. everyone there was super friendly and fun and it was super quick. they were patient with us and got us in on a busy day with four full sets, and still kept it affordable. if you’re looking for somewhere to get your nails done in obx this here is the best place to do them! thank you so much!

My first couple of experiences here were great! However, my most recent visit was beyond disappointing. The mess on the table was horrendous. The man who did my nails stepped outside twice to smoke a cigarette and did not wash his hands afterward. Yuck! I left with residue all under my nails and skin. He told me it’d come off over time. What! I should have left the salon with flawless nails! So uneven around the cuticles because they were never pushed and cut. See picture for proof of poor quality. Sorry Unique Nails,but this is not worth $50.

Beware! Absolutely horrible quality and experience!! Beautiful facilities but that’s were it ends. Had a bridal party reservation for 4 pedicures, 3 full acrylic sets, and one French manicure. Pedicures were fine, got what we expected, not amazing but certainly not bad. When it came time for the acrylics, that was a whole other experience…. When booking the appointment I specifically asked if it was possible to have all the full sets done at the same time and I was assured that they could and would have enough technicians to accommodate. But when we got there, they only had one tech and i was advised that the owner (whom I’d spoken with) allowed the other technicians to take leave did not tell the staff that we needed 3 full set during our appointment. Anyway, so rolling with the punches in good spirits, the girls got their acrylics. They were horrific!!! Bad is not a strong enough description to express the appearance. Not only were they bumpy and uneven with jagged sides, the tech got acrylic all over the cuticles so the girls fingers were in pain. Two of the girls even left bleeding, cut skin from being poorly filed. Oh and the French tip was painted horribly! Long story short, we paid (yes, full price) and left to have them immediately redone at Nails by LT. Just go to Nails by LT to start with!!!

Unique Nails is by the far the best salon on the Outer Banks. Maikao and Tony go above and beyond to make all their clients’ experiences a good one. From gel, acrylic and dipped nails to pedicures to waxing, every service I have had here has been amazing! They constantly buy new colors and inventory to keep up with the latest tracks and I have never been unhappy with the way my nails look. If something happens, all you have to do is tell them and they will fix it. Running a furniture store, I often break my nails and they are so quick to tell me to come in and they instantly fix it. They will stay late to accommodate customers and try to squeeze everyone in but it’s always best to call before you come just to make sure. These are hardworking local parents of 2 kids and it’s a family run business- those are the best kinds of businesses to support. Come here, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing! I’m an OBX local and have visited a lot of the salons on the beach. I have run into issues where I’ve made an appointment and had to wait 30-45 minutes to be serviced. Not here!! Appointment was on time and my nails look the best they have in a very long time. Mr. T did an amazing job. Very calming atmosphere, just what I needed! I can’t wait to go back in two weeks for a fill.

Angel was amazing. She has awesome hair We talked about the beach and her grandchildren. She made sure I loved my nails (I got a mani and pedi). I enjoyed my experience and highly recommend coming here for great service.
