never have i been treated like this before at unique nails. i’ve had many good experiences. i’ve been seen by at least 6 different employees. there’s the one skinny tall man with glasses who sits by the front door, he’s always been very friendly and cordial that’s not the man who i’ve has this bad experience with. and like i’ve said i’ve never had a person act like this. This other man i don’t recall ever having him before, he did a good job on my nails but the process where he pulled my arms to where they needed to be or the attitude and rude tone from the moment i sat down over every thing i did he’d stop and stare at me shake his head and mutter stuff to himself. i would’ve walked out mid way if my nails weren’t in such bad shape. i want to emphasize there’s no way i could have misinterpreted his demeanor it was CLEAR he was upset with me. over what, i have no idea. i’ll still go here but if they seat me with him i’ll loudly announce, “NO WAY IN HELL!”

Just a hot mess from start to finish. Two pedis at 25+8 (2 fake nails) one full set gel French tip 141…$40 tip. I didn’t want to make a scene so I guess ultimately that’s my fault. Too often we go to these salons and when we suggest that it doesn’t look quite correct we are told no no it’s fine you’ll see this is better blah blah… I feel like my husband had an amazing pedicurist (Alaina or Elaine sorry I can’t recall). She turned on his chair did an excellent job with the callus removal and made sure his needs were met! So I appreciate her greatly. However I was met with a woman who seemed like she had an attitude or didn’t want to be bothered. Never turned on the chair. Didn’t speak aside from telling me to choose a color. Which I can handle it was evening time so ya know. However, as the pedicure went on she completely disregarded the back of my foot to which I had to request her to fix twice. Then she cut above my cuticle and it’s bleeding and a pain to bend at the toe ♀️. This whole time I’m assuming the chair doesn’t work. She added acrylic to extend two of ky toe nails but didn’t shape them properly squared when she asked if I was okay with it I said no I like them squared. Her response was “these are squared. Squared enough. Squared all the way across”. All while making hand movements and everything . It really was a mess y’all. The toenails were not even or elongated or squared and when I said I wanted them extended she really asked me “why”… these are my feet why does it matter if I want my toenails extended. There’s paint all over the place. Now the nails. They’re not shaped right in the slightest. They are all sloped. Literally slanted off to the side looking crazy. When I mentioned that they weren’t shaped she gave me the same irritated look and said they were good. Right before I paid she all of a sudden wanted to converse and it just seemed again like a hot mess. My husband paid and tipped and I’m like why on earth are we tipping her do her doing a horrible job. This is third time I’ve spent dang near 200 dollars on sub par work, horrible rushed attitudes and inept customer service. Where do we fine the line of speaking up and being heard and also not causing a scene. You almost feel shamed to say you don’t like it and when you do it turn into a full blown scene real quick. Long story long: hire a nail tech. Get someone who is detailed oriented and serious about their craft. Spending hundreds of dollars on self care to end up feeling less sexy then when you came is not worth it ♀️

In town for work and happened to have a day off last minute. Decided to get my nails done but no one around had any openings. Finally found Unique Nails and they said they could fit me in for a mani/pedi. The staff was friendly, prices reasonable, and my nails look great! Couldn’t ask for more. Will come back when in town again.
