Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, ValueSo, I have my hair down to my waist and wanted to get a haircut. Anyways, I needed to make an appointment and called in. The receptionist who answered the phone made it seem like there was no one to cut my hair in the near future because, I have curly hair and they needed a stylist that can cut curly hair. I was confused because, I never had a problem with having my haircut by any stylist. Then the receptionist suddenly said, Miriam would cut my hair. It seemed forced, but agreed. The receptionist wasn’t selling Miriam to me as a great stylist to cut my hair. Since there’s a late policy charge in case I came late. I actually got there 20 mins early. I was going in to check in even though I was early and paid for parking. I was literally at the door when the receptionist called to tell me that Miriam is going to be late because, she was still with another client. I asked if she was asking me or telling me, because Miriam is late not me. Ask the client if it’s okay like, what should I charge for you not being on time? I have other things to do. I called back and canceled my appointment and told the receptionist why. You guys are strict with your policies, but don’t enforce it yourselves. Not only that, I felt like I was getting the bottom of the barrel by getting Miriam. It took years to grow my hair, and I don’t want to settle for someone who even the receptionist doesn’t have faith in. Just a body to cut my hair. The receptionist said that Miriam was going to call me to charge me for a cancelation fee ! I told the receptionist that Miriam can call me, and we can talk about it, but she’s the one still not on time. I got my hair cut somewhere else that same day. Next door there’s another salon, Hair By Cesare, made an appointment and got in and out. On time! Best hair cut ever!
