1st going and had a great experience. Referred by friend and was very satisfied with the services. My appointment was @ 9am, but arrived @ 8:30 & was finished and looking cute @ 10:30!! Owner was very nice and professional. Nice styles and reasonable prices. Will be going back!!

Would return. I got large knotless. I got there at 9 and was out at about 12:30. The lady that braided my hair was very nice and professional. Shop is very nice. You can pay using cash or cash app or zelle. I do wish that they used Ruwa braiding hair tho. They also do use scissors at the end to cut ” fly aways ” (why I wished ruwa was used. I was told they don’t like Ruwa). It just makes me nervous that someone may cut your real hair and you wouldn’t know. You do have the option to bring your own hair as well. Their ig is unik_touchh.

Today I had a terrible experience getting messy large knotless. I asked Mayaah (the owner) the day before about it. From prior conversation I had the price list. However I was told something totally different in store. For starters, I did not know I had to bring the hair for the messy look. I said multiple times what I wanted and even the employees didnt know the prices. It wasn’t until two rows of my hair was finished that the older lady indirectly asked me did I want curls at the ends. I said no I asked for the messy look. I didn’t want to pay extra for the hair plus the extra for them to do it so I told them never mind. However, they assured me I wouldn’t have to pay for the messy look since I purchased the hair. I questioned it, yet they still said I didn’t have to after talking to Mayaah. One of the younger ladies went with me to the nearby store to purchase the hair; which was nice of her. It was then that I asked again about the price. She told (she’s told me she has been working there for 2 years) that they don’t charge for the messy look and that I would only have to pay for large knotless. She went on to tell me about the add-ons they do charge for (not even parts which I thought they did?). When it was finally time to pay everything was fine until I went to the new lady at the desk. Who told be the price was $270 (different from what I’ve been told thus far). And she kept saying why that. The younger lady explained to her and still said Mayaah doesn’t charge for messy look. The receptionist then asked Mayaah herself and Mayaah said something different. So this is at least the third price difference I heard. When I asked to speak to Mayaah myself she seemed hesitant to let me do so. I forgot to mention when I first came in and asked the receptionist for the price (I told her what I wanted) she didn’t know it either. All for Mayaah to tell me that her employees didn’t tell me a different price. And the older employee lied and said she explained it to me how Mayaah did and she did not. Mayaah insisted that her employee told me what she did (how can u say that if you weren’t there when she relayed the message). I could tell Mayaah was getting upset with me. It seems like they are afraid to speak the truth. The lady at the receptionist desk referred to her as “Auntie Mayaah”. I have no reason to lie about what I was told. Therefore I won’t be returning. Even still when I got to the register again after all this the lady said $270 when it was $280 as priced by Mayaah. It should’ve been $250 according to what your employees told me after speaking with you. This isn’t my first experience with this business. Other people I know come to her too, I will be sure to relay the truthful message that they failed to do for me. What a way to ruin my birthday.

My wife just came back home in tears because of the service at this salon. Long story short: the rows between the braids were crooked. She went back to them to see if they could correct them and instead of saying “no” and that being the end of it, they said “no”, refunded her money AND CUT THE BRAIDS! Then the stylist smugly said she can always schedule an appointment to get them redone. How can they feel this is an acceptable response to a customer complaint?! I was on the phone with her the whole time and never did they mention not fixing the braids and no refund or some alternative that would leave both parties satisfied. So now we have to scramble to find someone who can squeeze her in today or tomorrow morning because we have a meeting tomorrow afternoon and an birthday dinner to attend Friday. You’d expect a black woman owned business to be more mindful of the implications and impact of forcefully cutting a black woman’s hair and sending her back outside with no idea what her plans are for the day. It’s extremely upsetting that a 2 year old client was treated with such disrespect and disregard.

Went in June to get KNOTLESS braids. I thought the point of knotless braids was NO knot. 2 mos later taking braids down and there is a knot to secure EVERY single braid. If this isn’t false advertisement I don’t know what is. I’ve had knotless braids atleast 20 times done at a different location and never a knot to secure the braid. I’ll never come back to this location. Ladies if you want knotless braids and care about your hair, I would choose a better location. Sadly the braids looked nice, but the take down process isn’t worth it.

Not only can they braid hair, and do an awesome job but the atmosphere gives positive vibes. Gave only 4 stars because only 1 person does twists and they don’t do faux locs.
