Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, PunctualityThis salon has stood the test of time and has been there for me through all of my life’s special occasions from my engagement party to my 3rd child’s baptism. This past weekend, my son was baptized and Judy and Annette came in early to accommodate my 2 daughters, my mom and myself. Wow! Our hair was outstanding throughout a muggy, partially rainy July day and all I had to do was show a photo of a style and Annette nailed it! I’m so thankful that they were able to accommodate us, they charged us reasonably and made us feel so special and beautiful. I will always remember that morning because of them-it was so special and filled with love, girl time with my mom and daughters and these 2 stylists that are kind and loving women. They really understand that they are with clients during their most emotional days. I can’t thank them enough and I don’t think this is the type of place that can be duplicated. This salon has stood the test of time and has been there for me through all of my life’s special occasions from my engagement party to my 3rd child’s baptism. This past weekend, my son was baptized and Judy and Annette came in early to accommodate my 2 daughters, my mom and myself. Wow! I’ll give it 2 stars because the owner and receptionists have always been very friendly and kind. However, Maritza ruined my hair. The first time I went (per the recommendations online), she was very nice and did a decent job but then the next visit she just stared cutting my hair and I was like “Don’t you even want to know what I want?” I was amazed… isn’t that the first thing that a stylist would ask? Wanted a trim, what I got was a Carol Brady chop. Not what I wanted. Fast forward months after letting my hair grow… again went in for a trim and what I got was a butcher job. The length was uneven and one side was completely shorter than the other, with one side looking like it was weed whacked! I looked better when I went in than when I left! A person should not have to go home and try and fix their hair after paying good money (and a good tip) for a cut. Back to having to grow my hair out again but this time I’m not going back. Thanks for nothing Maritza.

I NEVER leaved reviews but I was so upset after my hair appointment. I came to see miritza was not greeted with friendliness at all. Went simply for a hair cut and everything went wrong 1.didn’t part my hair before cutting 2. Didn’t ask me how I wanted to angles cut she simply just did what she wanted 3. Once I told her how I wanted my angles cut she cut them SO MUCH shorter and said “oh nice little curtain bangs”… 3. Didn’t blow dry my hair like a normal hairdresser does and didn’t even give me a chance to say I wanted curls not straight frizzy hair. She ripped out my earring and it was bleeding no one cared. I will never be coming back. Can’t speak for the other workers but miritza was aweful.

Come back to the salon safely. Two Stephen Street has the safety precautions down pat. I have been back three times since they reopened and am still impressed with their concern for the safety of their clients and staff. No cutting corners at this salon. Though we no longer schmooze over coffee and bagels it’s still a joy to see everyone and catch up. And yes I feel great when I leave, because who doesn’t feel good after Jen meticulously selects the dye and colors my hair and Teresa provides a beautiful haircut to make me feel like a new woman.

Two Stephen Street is the absolute best salon I have ever been to. Not only are the owners amazing people but every single person in the salon makes you feel like part of their family. My hairdresser MARITZA is extremely talented at everything she does. She is not only wonderful with hair she is also a beautiful, kind, and compassionate person. She is truly happy to see her clients and will go above and beyond to make them smile. I highly recommend Two Stephen Street and am appreciative

Such a wonderful and professional staff. I go to Nicollette for my color and I get so many compliments on my hair every time. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable. If you want your hair done right, go to this salon!

They took me in with no notice around the busy holiday season when I was having an awful hair day. They were friendly and accommodating. I wasn’t 1000% satisfied after living with the hair for a few days but I know if I ever call them up and tell them so they’ll have me back in ready to work on my hair again and do what they can to make me happy. Very worth the price tag.

I can’t even believe how amazing Maritza is at this salon. Her talent goes way beyond what I have ever before experienced in my life. She has an artistic eye as she cuts, styles, and gives blow outs to match each individual’s face to make her clients look their absolute best. Maritza has an outstanding ability and talent that comes across in everything she does in the salon. She even does updos for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and all other special ocassios. I went to a lot of salons that did mediocre work. One time. Never returned to them. But a few years ago, I found this one, and have had only the best cuts and perms here! Stephen LaMarca (sp?) Is fabulous . You’ll never get bad service here. And the staff are friendly and helpful.
