Positive: QualityI have been to this salon many times. It’s the only salon I’ve gone to since moving to Tuscaloosa August 2020. I’ve had mostly good experiences. When I went in October, I had Lee. They didn’t have the color I wanted so I last minute chose to do different browns. Once he realized I’d be using four colors, he rushed through painting them, became rough with my fingers, and finished me up so fast that I couldn’t even remind him I wanted matte. He just seemed annoyed that my nails were going to be more work. I left very unhappy and paid $60 for them. They were bumpy and painted unevenly. Even some of the shapes of the nails were just wonky near the cuticle. They were also really raised from my fingers, like the acrylic was too thick close to my cuticles. I also showed him a picture of a soft coffin shape I wanted and he just gave me a straight regular coffin shape. He also did them so far from the cuticle that they looked grown out the day I got them.Today, I chose to request an appointment with Jessica based on her reviews. I came in with three different pictures, combining aspects from each one that I wanted to include. I felt like she actually listened to what I wanted and double checked I liked things along the way. Overall, my nails are beautiful and I am very happy with how they look. I only paid $55, in part because it was a fill in from the brown ones. I would definitely recommend her!One thing I have noticed from all my times here: they use the same tools from person to person, without cleaning them in between. I was sitting next to the girl before me as they were finishing up and as soon as she got up I was told to take her seat. No cleaning of the tools or area was done. This happened both today and the last time I was here. I have been to this salon many times. It’s the only salon I’ve gone to since moving to Tuscaloosa August 2020. I’ve had mostly good experiences. When I went in October, I had Lee. They didn’t have the color I wanted so I last minute chose to do different browns. great establishment! probably the most beautiful and professional nail spa i’ve been to (legit feels like a boujee doctors office). my nail artist was kim, she was so sweet and made sure to ask me questions along the way. the only thing i was sad about is they were out of the color i wanted 445 but kim made sure i got the shade closest to it. other than that i had a great experience and it was a beautiful spa to witness.

Not only did she do an amazing job on my nails and my pedicure, she is also an excellent communicator. I loved that it was easy to explain to her exactly what I wanted and she did it. When you are in such close contact with someone for an hour and a half, it’s nice to be able to converse with them. She was friendly, outgoing, and professional. Jessica was an excellent technician! She took her time and was very meticulous throughout the process. Not only did she do an amazing job on my nails and my pedicure, she is also an excellent communicator. I loved that it was easy to explain to her exactly what I wanted and she did it. When you are in such close contact with someone for an hour and a half, it’s nice to be able to converse with them. She was friendly, outgoing, and professional. Michael always goes above and beyond and matches any nail inspiration I have- even the difficult ones! I cannot say enough about how amazing he is and the quality of work he puts out! He is very artistic and detail oriented, and this really shows in all his nail art. Aside from the amazing quality of his work, he is always so fun to talk to while I’m there. I started getting my nails done by Michael a few months ago because of a recommendation from a friend. Michael always goes above and beyond and matches any nail inspiration I have- even the difficult ones! I cannot say enough about how amazing he is and the quality of work he puts out! He is very artistic and detail oriented, and this really shows in all his nail art. Aside from the amazing quality of his work, he is always so fun to talk to while I’m there. He really takes the time to get to know his clients and engage in conversation. I went from never keeping up with my nails, to getting them done every 2-3 weeks. This was my first time visiting the salon, I decided to get a full nail set with designs, I showed the nail technician Jessica what I wanted and she showed me many different shades of blue I finally chose a shade I love and I’m glad I did the receptionist was very polite as well she had a professional attitude and was very helpful. I recommend to any one who wants professional and exceptional service go to Tuscaloosa Nails and Spa! I will be back for another appointment
