I came in here as a first time client to get a bleach and tone. I have platinum hair but my roots are light brown. The woman who did my hair was very nice, but upon completion, my hair was toned way too much and turned purple. I didn’t think too much of it as this always evens itself out with the first wash. I get home and realize she did not lighten the roots on over half of my head! I left a voicemail at salon with no response. I was finally able to reach a receptionist about coming in to fix my hair and I was told the stylist notes said I only wanted the top half of my hair done. I’m unsure how this even makes sense. Why would a platinum blonde only want half of her roots lightened? By this time, the roots that were lightened turned bright orange and the purple still won’t go away. I paid $175 and was told I can’t get a refund because I only wanted half my roots done according to the receptionist. I was told I can come in and pay full price again to have my hair fixed. There are no openings at the salon either for over a week and live in MI (been in the area for work). Now I’m walking around with orange and purple hair and sn inch of dark roots

I booked Turquoise Salon for my wedding hair and makeup, and I’m so glad I did! First of all, their pricing was a little more affordable than some companies I had priced in Austin. Jenna was very responsive in email and helpful with any questions I had. I booked makeup and hair service for myself, as well as for some of my bridesmaids and three moms. The Wednesday before my wedding, I went to the salon for my hair and makeup trial run (I did it that close because it was a destination wedding). The salon was adorable and everyone was very nice and friendly. Molly was very talented and fun to chat with while she did my updo. Melissa, who did my makeup, was also really sweet. For wedding day, the hair & makeup team came to an Airbnb I booked in Smithville. The house was right on the edge of their travel limit but she didn’t charge me a fee, which I appreciated. The team arrived early and prepared with everything they needed for all the varying skin tones of my friends and family. With three of them working at once, they worked through all of the services needed at an impressive clip. All of the girls and moms were very happy with their hair and makeup. The moms even tried fake eyelashes for the first time! It was really fun and the personalities of Melissa, Molly, and Jenna just added to the excitement of the day. They were upbeat and silly, as well as patient with our eclectic group. Also, they are all super stylish and I want to channel them next time I go shopping! I would whole heartedly recommend booking Turquoise for your wedding beauty services, or really any excuse you can find to go there!

Being very picky about my hair and moving to a new place made it difficult to get my hair done. I decided to take the risk and finally find someone local to do my hair and I was most definitely not disappointed. Leslie was great and took the time to make sure my experience was great and I love my hair. For the time it took and what I got done it was also very affordable. All around, one of the best experiences I’ve had.
