This is my third time visiting this salon and the experience was little underwhelming. The manicure was mediocre and the waxing especially nose waxing was painful. The stylist was nice but waxing can be improved provided if they have the right instruments.

BY FAR the best stylist/real person to cut my hair! She’s absolutely superb. I’ve been to over 30 stylists in my lifetime. Chelsea outclasses every single one of them by a light-year. Took my son here for the first time. Called ahead to put his name on a wait list so didn’t have to wait when we got there. Saskia took her time and did a great job. Wash and hot towel were included. I had a tasty bloody Mary while waiting. They also have beer on tap. The best part is that they’re open Sundays and Mondays!

Love this place. Great atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff, always great beer on tap, and yeah, the haircuts are great too. In a busy city like Austin, if you have to wait a little bit on a weekend to get a cut, this is a great place to spend some time. I’ve been a V.I.P at Tune Up for two years at least and love it! It’s $120 a month and you get unlimited haircuts, beard trims, massages and even waxing for you other hairy guys! In addition you get your choice of a bottle alcohol and a pedicure and manicure once a month! Talk about feeling like a million bucks!
