I got a new haircut today and I feel great. This hairdresser is a very creative because my hair is hard and coarse and very difficult to manage. That’s why I always choose long hair, rather than short, for fear of looking more frizzy. But today my hairdresser Liya and I chose to try something new – a short, medium-length haircut. First Liya permed my hair straight to make it smoother, then helped me choose a milky tea color. That is amazing.

Theressa is talented and caring, yet humble! She puts Olaplex in her Schwarzkopf bleach and used low volume developer (low and slow to prevent the hair from frying). She stayed until 10pm to preserve as much hair health as possible! Great price transparency as she would rather you be a long time client . I am so great full to have found her and will make the two hour drive every time to be nurtured by her hands and patience!

I don’t know what happened. My daughter had a great perm the first time we came here (though it was expensive–$350 for cut and perm)! However this last perm didn’t take at the roots so what was supposed to be a body wave resulted in her hair looking even flatter because the bottom was (unevenly) permed AND the roots were completely flat. All calls to fix it have been ignored so far. The photo below was taken 3 days after her so called perm. As you can see the hair is completely flat on her head.

Overall experience was meh. The lady who washed my hair was gently doing the top and barrel touched the bottom. She finished it so quickly and only did it once. I thought there’s a second round to fully massage/wash the scalp but she didn’t. Then she followed the instructions by the hair stylist Tina by drying my hair. The lady blew my hair with high heat and kept doing the same few spots which burning my ear and hair too. Honestly I never had anyone blew my hair this dry BEFORE the haircut. She kept combing it and said the layer which done by previous stylists doesn’t look right?? Was so confused as she kept combing the same spots trying to make it look good? Then finally after 20 min Tina came and cut my hair which was okay. And of course she had to spray water on my hair AGAIN cuz it was too dry!! Overall I do think they over priced it and the hair wash was a big NO, also the pre drying process that makes the hair fully dry before cutting is absurd.

I have a modern pixie and asian hair. It’s been a great challenge to find a stylist who can cut my hair. Liya pan is the very first stylist to get it precisely right on my first visit. I’m going back next month for sure. I already got a compliment the next week.

I’ve recently had my hair done by Selena at the salon , and let me tell you , she hits a homerun each and every time she gets her hands on my hair! I absolutely love her work. Always giving me great advise on how to maintain and care for my hair. There was also great Covid protocols in place and that was much appreciated. Here you also get spoiled with some good music and coffee! Oh yeah! Salon is also very clean. I highly recommend this salon to all.
