I waited 20 minutes to even be greeted by someone who wasn’t my stylist. After 30 mins had passed I was finally informed my stylist wasn’t even at the salon! I had such a busy day so I couldn’t reschedule for a later time so they assigned another stylist . I told him what I wanted & did not receive that at all . My hair looked like it was styled for a 50 year old. He cut my hair for the moment & not for longevity or for the purpose of growing it out evenly like I discussed with him ! I’m naturally curly & now that my hair isn’t straight anymore it looks uneven like I just took some clippers to it blind folded. I am so disappointed I spent $70 for something that didn’t even last a week or looked half way decent . I’ve been wearing hats since my appointment. Will not return .

My sister And I Flew in from NYC because she wanted Damian to do her hair. It was long anticipated since she had to wait over a month to get an appointment. Her appointment time was for 11:30. We got there a little earlier in hopes they would take her early. It was a good experience signing in because 2 mins after we got there, the tech took her to the back and washed her hair. But, little did we know that was the beginning of our issues. After the wash, she sat with the conditioner in her hair for another hour and half. When it was time for her to get her hair done, it wasn’t Damian doing it. We found out after that Damian (who did talk with us about an hour before) left… without saying anything to her!! Yes, I must be honest, he did say he wasn’t feeling well and my sis said she saw in his face that he didn’t look well! However, what ever happened to common courtesy? If he wasn’t feeling well and needed to leave, knowing you had a client (especially one that flew into your town just for YOU), the least you could have done was come to the client, apologize and say you were leaving but someone else whom you trust will tend to her!!! No, instead he left and said nothing. But God is good, Kel took care of her even though it was his day off. We didn’t leave until after 5pm! As per other folks in the salon, this is nothing new from Damian. So if this is his level of unprofessionalism, then he needs to step it up. I’m a firm believer in supporting black businesses, but … MY people, talent isn’t the only thing to build your business!! Customer service is an important part of your business as well!! Take pride in your brand!!

Been coming here for lil over 2 years to get my hair retwisted. Horrible experience with them from dying my locs that damaged my hair from heat damage and I suffered from chemical burns on the back of my neck (the egg smelling lifter they use to remove color). The actual retwist is always fine but the dying process, leaving clients under the heater too long or putting them too many times is disaster’s waiting to happen. Spent about 3 hours under the heater that day…… The chemical smell was so bad I found myself in a caucasian salon with expertise on color so they can wash the chemicals out. I was told an equalizer should be used to get out any bleaches, lifters etc. They had a shampoo that turned pink when chemicals are left in hair…… My hair turned dark pink. They washed it 5 times and deep conditioned it no heat but my body heat. They of course could not retwist my hair but my lesson is well learned. They said there always is a chemical smell but mine was definitely out the norm. They opened doors and windows. Anyway, 3 stars for being okay up until this point. I did attempt to contact them and got no response to my message. I understand Mr. Walter is well sought after and losing one client is no big deal so I’m going to fade into black and go about my business. Wish them good fortune and many blessings. Taking my business else where.

Honest Review: Only rating a 4 because of the wait time. This place does beautiful quality work, however, please make sure you have 3-4 hours to spare (Depending on your stylist, obviously my stylist is in demand) because that’s how long you’ll be in there. At my old salon, I was usually in and out within 2-2.5 hours, but again the quality of work did not compare. This is a trendy place. They can style your hair ANY WAY your like.

TP is by far the best salon I have ever entered, Moving to Houston from Cali was scary by itself, but finding a stylist that I could trust with my hair was frightening.
