I would recommend True Concepts Hair Design to any bride looking for incredible service and style on their wedding day! Audrey is incredibly sweet, patient, and definitely knows how to create looks that bring out the best in you. During our trial run it was clear to me immediately that she knows exactly what she’s doing and that she gets genuine enjoyment from styling brides. I had just lost my personal stylist and colorist as she had moved to Florida unexpectedly and I was in complete disarray about who to trust to do my hair for my big day. I researched a bit online and found that True Concepts was conveniently located near my venue, their prices were very reasonable and they had come recommended from a friend. After my trial with Audrey I felt so at ease and comfortable with her that I decided she would cut and color my hair that week as well. The day of my wedding I arrived with my 6 bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law and we were sweetly greeted by Audrey, Janette and the owner, Kim. They had brought fruit and champagne and had everything set up so that we had the whole salon to ourselves. They took great care of each of us and it was honestly one of the most relaxing moments leading up to my wedding! I was so happy with how each of the girls and moms came out but most importantly, I felt truly beautiful once Audrey was done with me (she also does amazing makeup)!!! As any bride can tell you there is so much stress leading up to that day and so many glitches and last minute issues that come out and it can be rather chaotic. My experience at True Concepts was the exact opposite and such a comfort among all of craziness of that day. In fact, Audrey has become my regular colorist and stylist ever since!!! Please know that if you choose True Concepts and these wonderful ladies for your big day, or for any day for that matter, you are in truly wonderful and talented hands!

I have had bad experience after bad experience with hair stylists. It took me five years to find a salon who truly knows hair and on top of it they are organic. I truly care about my body and what gets put in it and on it and it’s wonderful to find a like minded salon, with great stylists! Ann did my hair and I have never been so happy, she did an amazing job. I am looking forward to getting my hair done now and I have not been able to say that in a long time. I would recommend this salon to everyone!

Audrey is a master at what she does! Highly recommended, will not go elsewhere. She corrected my color, adjusting to find the perfect match from a bad dye job and also stubborn grays. I also have very thick hair which other salons have said is difficult to cut, dye and style but she nails it perfectly every time! I’ve also gotten a long bob haircut (in love with) and have had blowouts, straightens, highlights and keratin treatments – all perfect.

As a result of having a bad “color” experience, my hair was very dry, brittle and breaking off. I put off doing anything to my hair for a few months. I researched salons that had an organic color line and found True Concepts. I finally got up the courage to visit the salon on Wednesday, Dec. 17th. Kim was very patient with me as I described my hair problems and gave me a few options. She saw that I was very nervous about coloring my hair, even though I really needed it to be done so she suggested that I just do my roots and get a coconut oil treatment on my ends. I am very pleased with the results. My hair is shiny, soft and there’s no more gray! She also did an excellent job with the cut. Now I can’t wait to go back and get my ends refreshed a little. Molly did a great job on shampooing, too. It’s definitely worth the one-hour and 10-minute drive I’ll be making from LBI!! Thanks, Kim.

I absolutely love True Concepts!! Not only is the salon filled with delicious vegan organic products but Kim knows exactly what her clients want without a lot of explanation. After getting a half head of highlights, my hair smells like lemon meringue pie…yummy!! I am so excited I found an animal friendly, organic salon with talented stylist right in my neighborhood!!! Winning (bringin it back)!!

I love this boutique salon. I got so lucky. My first visit was a walk in and I met Audrey. She is fabulous. I have short hair and it can be hard to find a stylist who understands what is stylish and helps you achieve it even when you aren’t sure exactly what you want. The price is just right and parking is never a problem. I definitely make appts with Audrey now and I’ve never had to wait long to be seen. Highly recommend!
