I am someone who strongly dislike writing reviews because I think it’s awful. This time around I felt very compelled to do so. Unfortunately…Where do I begin for starters I had to call about 6 separate times because I kept getting hung up on. The lady on the phone was little to no help. When I finally got in contact with the stylist I wanted, I was very shocked. Set my appointment everything was smooth sailing from there. Fast forward to now. My stylist canceled the night before the appointment. Although asked when would be my next available (which I don’t have one at all anytime soon, which is why I set the appointment when I did.$ I am very disappointed in service.

Positive: Quality, ValueI had my hair cut, my brows waxed and my daughter’s bangs trimmed. The service was quick and super reasonable. The stylist was very sweet. She was able to fix my hair, which I had been cutting myself for about a year. I left with a beautiful haircut. I will definitely pack up my own scissors and head back.Services: Haircut, Waxing

Critical: ProfessionalismMargaret at True Colors is the worst! I went to Margaret to do my hair, and it is all about her and not the customer. TWICE my appointment was canceled at the last minute because, “She had something to do.” I made an appointment to have my hair done for a job conference, and Margaret canceled at the last minute and left me stranded. Prior to that it was her birthday, and she left early cancelling my appointment an hour before I was scheduled to come in. Sooooo unprofessional! I called and complained to the receptionist and left voice messages, and my dissatisfaction must have gotten back to Margaret. I tried to give her one more chance, and went today after calling several times to confirm my appointment. When I arrived at the shop, Margaret did not even say hi back to me when I said hi. She asked me,”Are you sure this is what you want to do?” I said, “I’m here,” and she said, “Yeah, but I don’t need an attitude.” I told her she was rude and disrespectful, and then I walked out. Obviously, Margaret did not want to do my hair, and for her to accuse me of having an attitude when she stood me up twice is backwards. Moreover, why did she wait until I drove all the way to the shop for my appointment to ask me if I wanted her to do my hair. She could have saved me the trip and called me as I left several messages indicating that I wanted to speak with her, but she did not return my calls. So MEAN, SPITEFUL, and DISRESPECTFUL. Extremely disappointing when another woman of color does this to you. Margaret definitely has issues. I am finding another salon because I will not put up with being jerked around and disrespected as a customer. Whatever happened to common courtesy and doing unto others as you would have them do unto you? I feel sorry for Margaret. The best! If you go anywhere else, you’re making a big mistake. So knowledgeable., accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. They call to remind you of the appointment. I’ve been with Jen since the store opened, but all of the stylists are equally excellent.

Worst service! I let the first time slide but not this one. Very unprofessional, no sorry when you over pull your customer’s hair? I’m paying for the service you know. Then she didn’t even get my hair right, act like they’re doing you a favor. Terrible stylist, never wasting another penny there.

Worst haircut ever!!! I showed pictures of what I wanted. Asked if it could be done and was told yes. There is no actual style to my hair other than badly chopped. I can’t even trust that she could fix it if I so demanded. I honestly could have done better myself. Stay away!
