I was in town visiting a friend and broke 2 nails… Called and got a same day appointment at Tru Nail and had a great experience. Lina did my full set super quick and cute. Even gave me a free bottle of water. Highly recommend getting an appointment though as they do get busy.

If u could provide no stars I would. This place is not consistent. I’ve gone to them two or three times and the last time was the final straw for me. I went in asking for a full set with a colored French tip. I left happy with my service. They had at the time a 20% off all services (still on going I believe). Well this was probably my mistake but I didn’t check to see how much I was charged and I always tip 20% so I checked out without checking my total. I was looking through my bank transactions the following day to notice a $80 charge. Now I’m not sure how they broke down the pricing but when I called she said she was charging me $44 for a full set and $20 for requesting a French? I was extremely confused and asked to have this fixed. Over the phone she said come in and she can resolve it. I can in probably two business days after and she said she can’t refund me the $20 or the tip…eventually we got on the phone with the owner of the place who said OK no problem and that they would refund me the full amount and I can tip 20% + $35 charge for the full set. When I was about to wrap up she said again she’s not refunding me for her time??? And I was so mad at this point that she was YELLING at me in front of everyone at the salon. She handed me a $20 — which was NOT what we agreed to. I left the money on the table and left. This place is extremely unprofessional and I encourage anyone that decides to go (due to limited nail salons in West Seattle) to be clear on how much you will be charged for the service you ask. The one girl does a great job; so it’s unfortunate that they are under poor management.

I really want to give Tru Nail Lounge 5 stars. They do a nice dip manicure and my husband + I have both gotten really good pedicures from here but be prepared to WAIT. It’s a very popular nail salon so every time I’ve gone I’ve made an appointment… and I still end up waiting 30-45min. I wish I could say this only happened once but it’s been 3 or 4 times at least.

They over-booked, didn’t apologize… Ran around and got two other women’s manis and pedis, who came in AFTER me, done first. There simply wasn’t enough people to get through all the clientele. No “Sorry, this is on us…” Just a bunch of excuses and how other women didn’t get as much work done as me. It was BS. The lady who started on me simply left and worked on TWO OTHER women before I complained enough for them to send a different woman to finally do my nails. My close friend is a regular there and was shocked with the poor service as well. She even brought them flowers once, just to be nice. Where’s my “Im sorry, we screwed with your NYE plans”-flowers?!? I scheduled a gel manicure and when I arrived, showed them a picture of some Halloween nail art that I wanted to add and they were absolutely wonderful about it. They were very kind, professional, and gave me just the subtle hint of scary movie goodness that I was hoping for. I definitely will be going back!

Oh my goodness!! I am so happy and with how they did and so glad I went to Tru Nail Lounge!! I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve left a nail salon so happy. They were able to take me in as a walk in on a Saturday evening (I will call next time I usually do) and got an ombré acrylic manicure and a shellac pedicure/treatment. The nail techs were very sweet, they offer complimentary drinks, comfortable salon and it doesn’t smell like chemicals as most salons do. The best and most luxurious nail salon in West Seattle for sure!! To top it off, the pricing for my mani-pedi was lower than I expected, especially since I got an ombré style with dip powder. They also take Apple Pay which is always a plus. I will come back here for my fill and future needs and I will recommend this salon to my friends. Thank you ladies!!
